Ask them here, we may move on to individual topics about them, this is to get the board started.

Heres a question... Olli, for the yearbook to be successful SSD needs experienced members, who actually have knowledge of previous versions, excellence awards etc. So do the people who help out need to be older members ? from 2003.....or can everyone join in, just by searching through the forums and gaining knowledge of past events ? That question seems a little patronising, but at the expense of being acrimonious i think its a reasonable question.... By the way, i might consider helping out, just need to think of some solid topics to start...

So I think you'd be fine to apply. E, you can still apply

I have one question. Is it going to be a thread like the herald, an actual book like thing in Flash or some program like that or maybe even a pdf? I applied btw.

I was thinking for the year book to be compiled as a *.pdf, easy to compile if you have a right knowledge.

Online? Something like a slideshow? I honsetly don't know. I was sort of seeing it similar to the Herald issues back in the days of Blue Spectrum.

make it like the magazine was when it was hosted on a webhost and made into a book sort of thing. i cant remeber who made the script but looked good.
.pdf wouldnt be so good, not everyone has the program.

Making it with flash would be cool. But the thing is, are there any flash designers that know the program well enough to give a good effect?

if there aren't enough flash designers it could be done with javascript. I know Popo is a Flash designer

I can do really minimal animation with flash....
But to be honest we arent talking 2advanced flash or idigitalemotion type flash....those are brilliant flash designers....

Well I was thinking that there could be like a "SSD Veteran" section, you know for those who have been here like from 2003. Just a suggestion, I know quite a bit of the members that have been here since 2003 would love it. I want to apply and contribute but I figured that I should get some more posts first before I even try. I'm getting active though So......

Thank you Quacker! I know it would, but hey we have a great team at SSD, and I'm sure that the team that is assigned for the yearbook could handle it!

Thats a good idea. It might take some time to have to compile who joined when, but it would be worth it. It'd be easy - just search through the admin are by registration date. Or, perhaps have it voluntary? I'd rather not put in "Veterans" who have been here since 2003 but have only posted once or twice. Perhaps make the section sport a little something for them. They can submit, perhaps, a little extra on why they've stayed this long. Just a little different for them. So, instead of looking up all those from 2003, just get those who are around to post and say, "Yeah, I've been here since 2003, I'd like to be included".
