I wasn't going to bring this up again, but I thought I should! Anyway, SSD is in need of a coding mod. SSD is normally known for it's coding section & with no mod, it's falled to bits. And people will come here realise that, then never come back to see if it has improved. So you have to act asap So basically: Gets a Mod!

The coding sections have been slow for ages..

I don't think it needs a mod, it's not active enough to need one. And for the little activity it gets, I see enough higher staff members take care of stuff in there. :3

Last time I checked, SSD was a design forum. I don't really see how it can be known for it's coding section.
A coding mod really isn't needed. Activity won't increase enough for it to be necessary. Especially when PBS has such a huge database, and offers more speedy support then SSD has ever had.

Not necessarily for the support side, but there is a database that needs updating - and I don't see any of the mods doing that?

Not necessarily for the support side, but there is a database that needs updating - and I don't see any of the mods doing that? Thats the reason I support one. We need someone to update it. Because even though PB has a big ass database, many people still come to SSD and we owe it to them to provide them with a large array of codes. I don't think one is needed for support. I haven't seem one thread go untouched in ages.

I don't have a proboards, People do come to SSD, and they do expect to have some codes accessible. But again, there isn't enough activity to warrant a mod (imo), and updating the code database isn't very hard.

As we've always done before, we promote those that show they can do the job. Currently, we've not seen anyone take the initiative and show this.
We've attempted recruitment at a coding website but that failed.
If you have a suggestion for who would be interested then please do put their names forward.

I am sure people would be willing to do it. It's a matter of recruiting the right person. I personally think you should choose someone you think is suitable. But the database needs updating as a matter of emergency!

They really can't make a decision based on a few weeks of activity, either way.

I can do it.. It wouldnt bother me to do it.. I dont think Wrighty Should do it... Because I am filling a request right now he shouldve filled a while back.. Ermm I've got another forum to do requests on.. And I've released a few very high powered PB codes, Just cause I don't release them here doesn't mean I don't make them! (example: personal member page .. profile remodel. Karma remake extra board stats... etc. etc..) To be honest, I wouldn't mind who was made mod - but someone has to be otherwise it will go too far! I would also do requests if I had more time and if people made their requests make sense! >.<

And you say you want to HELP the coding board? Yet you dont release codes here? Im just not even going to point out how paradoxical that is..

Well, no one said Wrighty was going to be mod . However, if he was going to be one, he better learn to tab/check compatibility/use proper syntax in his coding. I still don't think a mod is needed for the support or discussion part of the coding categories. However, Vincent would be a good moderator for the database in my opinion.

I think you guys are under the illusion we've not been looking, as E said...we know we need a coding mod, we do not need reminding, we're just not willing to pick a random person from the croud to do it. Finding the right person is key, if anyone has suggestions, PM a member of higher staff.
Thank you.

My only suggestion is to find one before the v4.5 update because someone will need to update quite a few codes in the database.

People don't understand what a hard job it is to manage the coding boards. I was up there for a month until my trip to Africa and the start of my Organization came up. It is a pain managine all the out-dated trash lingering in those boards. And the critisism form members doesn't help.
I say, let's remove the coding boards. Forums like Studio Zero and PB Support are where members go to get codes, not ehre any longer. The Coding boards are just an obnoxious waste of space. If we're purely an Art forum, we'll be more attractive, and less cliched. I think we started as the trend-setters, but now we're simply following the trends we started.
