Needs a mod. It's dead.

I can start help rating it. Mabye instead of a mod, you get like a team of raters. Like how you have The Herald Team. They could rate everything. Then like the Global Mods can do the modding. But, I will start rating there as much as I can. Short. Sweet. Simple. Good suggestion =)

Last time oliver posted in there? And look down the list of how many posts there are in each thread. The only one which stands out is yours. That's why you don't think it's dead. Look at everyone elses. Ranging from 0-4 posts. The average is two posts.

Until someone steps up and consistantly critiques I doubt you'll see Oliver promoting anyone premature.

Yeah, what's the point of suggesting a mod when there is no one that could possibly do it? I mean, there are former mods that could do it like Mitch or Sara or something, but they aren't willing. You can't just promote someone because you need a mod. Doesn't work that way, least not here it doesn't.

I'm just saying. That would be the solution. An active mod.

But who? It's a pointless suggestion if there is no one that could do it.

I'm just saying. That would be the solution. An active mod. Obviously a moderator would be a nice solution. We're merely waiting for someone to step up before thinking about repromoting a previous moderator. Sooner or later someone is bound to make themselves known. Putting the whole moderator thing on the back burner, we could use a few constructive raters more than a moderator. Oliver will always keep an eye on everything as long as we lack a moderator there. What I'm hacking at is a moderator isn't an absolute must at this point.

Unfortunately we cannot magic moderators out of our sleeves, as I'm sure you are aware. Thanks to those who have been in there recently. I haven't really been on much over the last few weeks or so, as my time has been eaten by more important things. I shall pop in there later tonight and clear up the first page Until then I shall keep an eye out.

Unfortunately we cannot magic moderators out of our sleeves, as I'm sure you are aware. You could make a thread for people to apply for the position of critique moderator if the board needs a mod there must be someone who wants to do it and can be trusted.

Thats true, it's been done before for mod spots, but I'm not overly keen on the idea.

ahahahaha.
That deserved a line. Honestly though, Critique is one of the hardest boards to commit to because there are just so many things to comment on. It's also hard because you don't want to favor certain kinds of work, but there is way too much material to pay attention to all of it.

It's doable. You just need to look.
SSD is big right? Look at other big boards.
If you really want to keep this thing alive, then some people have got to put their back into this thing.

It would be nice to add another moderator to the Critique Board, which would make it more active. However, as Oliver stated, it's hard to find suitable Moderators to fill the position.

Again, suggest someone. You keep on saying "There must be someone. Mod them." I see no one. So, who is it that you see?
