I think you should be allowed to comment on the different works on the collection area of the website.

You never were able to before.
IMO, commenting would just be a waste. If you want to discuss a certain peice of art, you can do so(on this forum.) I am sure no one would mind a little more life in our visual arts board!

I'd personally just be happy seeing more comments in our Discussion thread - the ones we post every time there is a new collection.

But that thread will remain in page 1 for only so long. The appreciation that is given to the artists for their work should be "forever," although I understand your point UC. Plus, people in the future can look back at previous art packs and comment on them. The difference between this and a couple of people posting in a thread for a maximum of a week is very different.

Mmm, I understand, but as the group hardly gets any comments in the discussion threads anyway, I'd prefer to not disperse them even more.
If the rest of the art group feels differently, we can of course change it... but we've always tried to maintain that the art group is an elite part of the community. I like the direct tie to the board - just as the Herald is tied to the forum itself.
