I suggested this a while back to Oliver and E (I think James as well). I think that Member's Tutorials should be reopened.
Basically, it's like this. You have 159 tutorials on the main site. Around 80 comments on 67 Photoshop tutorials in two years. Now, let's look at the forum board. In about a year and a half, you have 400 tutorials with 3000 comments. That is 7.5 comments per tutorial compared to 1.2 comments on the site. It just doesn't make sense not to do this.
Very few people view the main site. I know you want the base of SSD to be the main site, but it isn't. I think that for the sake of garnering attention, getting help, contacting the creator, etc. you need to reopen the tutorial board.
Also, look at it this way. It's damn near impossible to find a tutorial on the main site. I gave up a long time ago looking at the tutorial on the main site (That and the fact that I don't really use them anymore, but that is beside the point). With it being on the forum again, you could rebuild a database like the days of old. Forsaken ran that board very well and it got a lot of attention. I personally feel that starting to put more of the resources back on the forum will help pick up activity here.
The main site is dead. It was alive for about a week. You need to save the forum, not the main site. Tutorials are a very popular commodity. They will bring attention back to the forum. They are just sitting there being useless on the main site.
