Some times is seems that everytime I go to look at the Chillout, its flooded with news posts. Every other time its something about British goverment, or something going on in the news. Maybe add a sub-board to either redirect it all to a new area, and if it just dosent get looked at. Big deal, not as many news posts?
Just an idea to create less of a search to find something a little more enjoyable to talk about.

I don't feel it's an issue, it's hardly flooded with posts about news items and there's plenty of other things on the first page which doesn't require much searching.
There will not be a sub-board for chillout as it can leave a board dry of quality threads.

Stuff going on in the news is ripe for the picking. It's also great material to lead directly to discussion, which is what keeps a forum alive. Lots of interesting things are going on in the news nowadays, after all.

There should be one specific thread specially for Internet/Web/UserX's ramblings at the moment there is five threads started by him on the first page and all of them the usual political cr*p.

They've got a lot of replies, don't they? From what I can see, there are people who like them. If you don't like them yourself, ignore them.

Which is exactly why I ignore everything.

Personally, I liked Chillout when Web wasn't allowed to post shit about the friggin' EU or Islamic Extremists (or lackthereof).

Personally, I liked Chillout when Web wasn't allowed to post shit about the friggin' EU or Islamic Extremists (or lackthereof). So what you're saying is by trying to start conversations he's doing nothing but ruining Chillout for the rest of us? That's ass backwards. At worst, if it's not something you want to talk about, then don't, there are plenty of other threads, but just by him making posts about real events with real consequences doesn't make Chillout a worse place to be. Edit: And checking Chillout, there is only one thread on the first page by Web. Not that it makes any difference, but don't say that the pay is flooded by posts by him. I see 5 threads by you Josh, and there's only 1 thread that I find interesting enough to read, if that.

DM, if you noticed, I don't post in there. And when I posted it, he had three-four threads. Usually all that happens is a riot begins and it ends with loads of complaints towards the staff. I would know since I used to mod the board

The threads don't end up in a riot anymore, people that caused them to become riots have been removed.

ScreenshotAs I said, 5 threads by you. And what's the problem with posting a bunch of threads, it sparks discussion. Your whole argument is based off your personal problem with Web, get over it.

Let's not make this too personal guys. The bottom line is, there will be no sub-boards added to chillout. Nor will certain people be prevented from posting in there, until we have good reason to.

First off Dm, I didn't need a screenshot. I know how and what threads I post. And I've been here long enough to know how to check.
And I don't have any problems with Web. I like the guy. What I do have a problem with is the amount of headaches that his threads caused me back during the winter. The problems with Artos, the problems with Quacker, the problems with Max. Bad memories and they all went away as soon as he was told to go on hiatus. So go figure I think that way.
