Ok, whenever i try to check my PMs or PM certain people, it says: An Error Has Occurred Sorry, you have been banned from this forum.
I use AOL, and this is the only forum that has ever happened to me on, and im unsure why.. Maybe cos someone with a similar IP has been banned? Cos i personally have never been banned from here *shrug* IS there anything you can do about it? (plz dont suggest using IE, FF, or Opera cos i dont want to sue those, its much easier for me to simply use AOL, which is my provider). Oh and also, plz noone say anything liek "switch from AOL cos it sucks" or whatever, cos it doesnt cuk imo.. ~ Thanks

No, you haven't been banned at all. I'm afraid using an alternative browser is the only thing you can do. It's not within our control.

Yes, the AOL browser isn't fully supported by PB. Just use Firefox, Opera, IE7, or even Netscape or Maxathon. There are loads of browsers you can use, those are your top 6 or so.

Yes, the AOL browser isn't fully supported by PB. Not to mention any other type of forum service.

Actually, all codes etc for forum services work fine for AOL (or me at least).. Its just this one thing that happens.. :-\
Is it simply because we (AOL users) share IPs? Or dont you actually know why it does this?
I guess, thanks for the help? lol

Each forum system has its own problems with the AOL browser. I'm unsure of what causes it, but people get different problems when they visit this site. Sometimes they are banned, sometimes the boards don't show up, sometimes none of the coding works at all. Depends on the user, really. Only thing we have come up with is to switch browsers. If you don't want to do that, best thing you can do is ignore it. You could also try disabling javascript, but I don't know if that will do anthing

Wouldn't disabling JS totaly screw up the look of a PB?

Yes but we're going for functionality here rather than looks

Is it simply because we (AOL users) share IPs? Or dont you actually know why it does this? I guess, thanks for the help? lol That is more likely to be the problem, because in our time it is very likely we have banned an AOL IP, and of course we ban IPs. Disabling JS will do nothing. It's just pot luck.

Nope, like I say, Proboards would be the people to take it up with if you want a technical explanation for it. If you're using the AOL Browser you are more likely to encounter this problem.

Since 26th Feb, 2007 at 19:21 GMT. I think he meant how long until he is unbanned. If I'm not mistaken, there wasn't a time limit set. It'd be up to Josh and Oliver, the two who originally orchestrated the ban, whether or not he returns.
