I really feel that the Chillout board needs on sub-board. It's not really because it's unorganized or anything, but that new threads made in the board are being constantly moved away to 2nd or 3rd page by the next day, giving each thread barely much attention, which causes repition of threads, and less communication.
Majority of the threads that are causing this belong to a section of mostly some form of Media or Entertainment, so there's one sub-board right there.
Just a suggestion.

If they're bumped to the next page, then people can click on the Next Page link to get there. Doesn't sound that hard.
As soon as you put a sub-board in chill-out dedicated to one subject (for example, music), it will die within two weeks due to people not caring or wanting to delve into yet another board for discussions that could easily be held in chill-out. I can guarantee you, that if by some chance in hell the members petitioned for a media sub-board, it will go from active to semi-active to a ghost town. It's happened before.
In sum, I say "nay".

I would disagree with you there, on average there are around 20 replies to a topic, some get more some get less. I think topics do get a good amount of attention.
You also have to remember that the media is a large area of our life, by putting it into a sub-board you take away a large slice of content for the main board.
Also people tend to think that once we have one sub-board, why not have another for something else popular? It is much easier to keep it all in one.
That is why we don't have sub-boards for chillout anymore.

We did have two sub boards in there last year. Video Games and Debates. Both were incredibly strong over the course of the first two to three weeks, while Chillout suffered. Then they died and the topics weren't being created anywhere at all. It just doesn't work well.
Morgoth was brought on to start debatable topics, and I was brought on to start media topics. Giving separate boards to them would make the point of chillout quite useless imo. I don't mind the way it is now. I hardly see anything new on the second page (Of course, I visit around 6 times a day) and one click isn't all that bad, especially if your browser has tabs.
If it gets to the point where there are 3 pages of new topics everyday, we could always bump the amount of topics shown per page, but I doubt it will get like that.
