Sorry if this has been suggested, but I think it would be a good idea. It kinda gives a feel of fellowship.

We had the one that Xeron is wearing currently. As for personalized, it would take a lot of time and work. There would be around 50 sigs to be made, proabably more.

Well, I was thinking personalised, and there would have to be restrictions, so tons of 1 posters don't come and request

I have seen it done at other places, it can work but it's more of short term thing for the majority of people, they would likely want something else in their signature.
Although do continue with suggestions.

Member signatures is the only thing I've got out of this thread, am I missing something?

What about a signature which can be downloaded (PSD) and you can edit your own text?

Why would you want to wear a signature with your name and SSD on it at SSD? Everyone knows who you are already, and no one ever uses the member sigs anywhere else to improve activity.
Sounds like a half-baked idea to me.

Just a thought, but with PHP, we could allow for people to create their own simply by inputting their username, which would be written to the blank image (in a specific font/color), and then let the user download it to upload to their own host.

I like the ones that are like the staff sigs. If you could do that for members it'd be cool. =P

Just get a few members together and start making signatures. Not hard.

The signatures will only be used for a short amount of time. Prime example is the signature I am wearing. Do you see anyone else using it that is active or around SSD? I don't. =P

I know for a fact, that for some people it is more fun to run around with a sig that has your name on it also, than one that just says the sites name.

I think that a designer should just create a nice looking tech sig, and save it as a psd and if members want to add there name they can, if not it just says ssd.
