Ok so I remember a Twitter topic not too long ago, but I'd like to revisit the topic.
Here are some questions if you use Twitter:
Why do you use it?
How do you use it or what do you post on it?
If you do not use Twitter:
Why not?
--------------------------
I signed up for it the other day and kind of see the point if your friends use it, but if they don't then what is the point? Idk...I may or may not keep it up I was just wondering what everyone else had to say.

Because I find one-side conversations with the character countdown very personal and riveting. ;o
Jus' playin'. But, actually. It is a way to "blog" or "update" without it getting all complicated or putting too much effort into it.
Not to say that I don't bring creative responses to the few followers' pages with my 140-limited sentences explosion. Because, honestly, I fucking hate when people are like "going to a birthday part, txt plz." Or some shit.

Why do you use it? I can update all my friends what I am doing at any given moment, though about 1% of them actually use this service and even less have updates sent to/from their phone
How do you use it or what do you post on it? I use it for personal things to business. I know, keep your business & personal life separate but photography is a big part my personal life and I bring my personality into photography. And I'd hate to divorce the two when it comes to my stalkers.

Don't use twitter, lol. For one, friends or not, I don't think anyone cares what I do 24/7, nor do I care what others do 24/7. Also, there's facebook, and the status thingie is the same thing. So no twitter for me thx.

I LOVE twitter. I have a shitton of friends on there, and we're all always updating each other all the time. I also follow a lot of things that are relevant to me, like SaratogaLife which updates about events and cool stuff going on in Saratoga, and PhotoDojo which constantly comes out with cool photo tips, ect, ect... I also use it to promote my photography and stuff, and it seems to work because a lot of the hits to my website and such come from Twitter. C: It's also a great way to connect to other photographers, so I really, really love it. <3

Why do you use it? -I use it to post updates mainly on my writing progress and updates about my websites for anyone who is interested.
How do you use it or what do you post on it? -See above. At first I posted just random things while trying not to go LOL I HAS CORNFLAKES 4 BREKFAST, but now it's mostly there to post updates on my work. It's proven useful.

I'm not a fan of Facebook/Myspace. I tend to only log into those when I get an email notification telling me I've been sent a message or friend request. At least with Twitter it's quickly and modular. And Twitter also provides a very nice API on top of RSS feeds for updates. Thus I can port Twitter updates into web applications without even thinking about it. As for what I actually put on it... anything I suppose. I don't update my Twitter constantly; once every few days maybe. When I do it's generally about a project I am working on, any traveling I'm doing, or my cat getting run over by an SUV. Things of that nature.
