I was wondering how people got that hazy look in their photos like: Example 1Example 2Example 3Hope you know what I'm talking about lol. I kind of like the effect and would like to learn how to do it.

You're looking at either a diffusion filter or the way it's lit, generally. They're also all slightly desaturated. Lighting wise, they tend to be back lit, and taken in afternoon light. Usually you can achieve the same quality from a north-facing window.

I wouldn't be surprised if the effects in those examples were all achieved in post.

I wouldn't be surprised if the effects in those examples were all achieved in post. You'd be quite correct. The first image as some obvious post work that blurs the edges while the others probably made use of a diffusion filter. Though you can get a similar affect in photoshop that's known as the Orton Affect. If you're interested I'll write up a tutorial from what I know It's a fairly easy procedure.
