What are your dream careers? If you could be anything, what would you be and why? Are you primarily motivated by wanting a steady income or do you want the freedom to do something without having to worry about worldly concerns?
Are you working towards these ambitions or have you scrapped them for something more practical?

I have wanted to be one of the following for the last 5 years - Digital animator at Pixar or a Digital effects specialist at WETA Digital, Digital Domain, or ILM.
I'm not really working towards. to be honest, I suck at art and because of that, I pretty much flunked out of college. I am good at design but because all colleges seem to treat graphic design and 3D modeling as art, I am incredibly screwed.

For the longest time I wanted to be a Journalist... but my love for writing has kind of died. At least recently. I'm not sure why. The only other thing I've seriously considered was becoming a Kindergarten teacher. The downside to that is all the college classes, and the fact that i don't have the money or means to make it that far. But, if it's what I settle on, I'm going to try as hard as I can.

I'd like to be an author, an editor, or both. Writing is my dream, but I know unless I hit it big I can't make a living off of it, so I'd love to be a novel editor.

I'd like to go into law. I really don't know why but something about it draws me in but I'd also like to go into a science related field but hey I still have years before I have to decide for sure. Who really knows what the future will hold, I might elope and become a houswife for all I know.

When I was younger, I would always go around saying "I want to be a vegetarian when I grow up!", meaning veterinarian. I still think that would be absolutely neat. My love for the thought of it had kind of died away until our basset hound was hit by a car awhile ago... and being at the hospital was just so... ah, I would love to do that.
However, I'm also interested in physical therapy, and that's what I'm actually going to major in (my first class starts July 21, woo). I love the idea of specializing in pediatric physical therapy... that would be too much fun!
But if that ends up not working out and I become the statistical college student that changes her major way too many times... I could probably just as easily go into something involving English or Language, most likely Language. (And I also plan to minor in Spanish, so... that could be why.)

My dream is to write scandalous gay love stories that'll make me famous. ...or to be a psychologist/psychiatrist.

I am already pursuing my dream career of being a photographer. I currently do it freelance and hold a retail job to pay the bills. However, by the age of 25 I plan on having built up the means to own my own studio, and be known enough to pay for it. I'm not big on weddings though, which doesn't help me much. Weddings are a lot of stress, however I do photograph them if the opportunity arises because weddings pay the most money by far, and it'll help me reach my goal. What I love to do, is portraiture. Family portraits in the home are probably the most fun, too, because it really lets me bring out a family's personality. It's so fun, and I really love what I do.
Not only do I want to take photographs though, I want to hold teaching seminars on how to take photographs as well. Once I have a studio, or other means to do so, I want to have little courses that I can teach people with, and share my art. I love to learn, and as such I really think I'll love to teach as well. Just not in a standard school, because that might suck and I'd need more college. lol
My side career, that I didn't realize until I met my instructor and now boyfriend, is going to be instructing martial arts and self defense. His dream is to own his own dojo, and until about a week ago he did, but the bad economy squashed it something horrible since no bank would give him a business loan to further the marketing. He's still going to work out of his home though, and the both of us are going to be teaching programs at a gym in Latham, so his dream hasn't died yet.
Between those things, I should be pretty busy. And in the end, it'll all pay off. <3

For many years I wanted to be a photographer, although there's no way I'm considering forgetting about that, I am thinking of a slightly different line of work now that I have started university.
My aim now is to be the curator of my own gallery. It's not going to be a gallery dedicated to my work, I want it to be a gallery for students across the UK (and if it really takes off maybe further). I know what it's like being a unknown photographer and how hard it is to get noticed.
I want to set up a gallery that will be affiliated with almost every university around the country and then hopefully if I get a big enough list of clientele I will get the attention of many reputable agencies and photographers to help these people actually get out there.
If it does get big enough I hope to have a few around the country, nice simple space, cafe, maybe do some events at night.
I'm not really against broadening my spectrum of art either.
But then again, this is quite a hard dream to achieve. Fingers crossed eh?

I know a new Salon and Spa just opened up in my area, and they actually do like the cafes and hang art that the artist can sell on their walls. They're doing really well with it too, and it's only been open for 2 months. Granted, it's the US, but I think people are generally similar when it comes to enjoying certain concepts. So since it's such a hit here, I bet you can make it work in the UK for sure. C:

I always found journalism and that style of writing to be very interesting to me. Tied in with my love of video games (both the games themselves and the behind-the-scenes stuff), I always thought a career in video game journalism could be fun. It would be highly stressful, but it would be worth it being able to write about something I was highly interested in. Journalism in film also crossed my mind.
More realistically, however, I plan to follow my choice to study biomedical sciences. I probably won't choose to go to medical school (even though I love House), but rather choose to go into research or higher level education. I haven't made a final decision yet, so it's still open. Science has been something that has always fascinated me, and I'm a self-proclaimed science geek. XD
