Creative Control Rules [Revised 5/31/09]
Overview
Welcome to the new and improved creative control board here at SSD. We have combined the Photography, Literature, and Film boards into one board to rule them all! This is a board for fun and excitement, but where there is fun there also must be rules. Please read and abide by all rules or you will face consequences.
General Rules
Please follow the forum policy here in the Creative Control board. If you plan on posting something for people to comment on you must post something about someone else’s work. People post their work here in CC in order to get input so they can improve upon it. Please share the love. Also please if you are going to post the work of others give them full credit.
Thread Prefixes
Please use these thread prefixes when posting a thread in this board. It will make it easier for other members to know what your thread is about.
[Lit]-Literature related threads
[Photo]-Photography related threads
[Film]-Cinematography/Film related threads
Literature
Feel free to share your work and get feedback, discuss you favorite type of metre, talk about authors, discuss books, plot, plan, and brainstorm. So while you're still welcomed (and encouraged!) to post your work for feedback, feel free to browse around and talk about the more cultural side of our modern world.
Photography
This is not the place to dump the photos you took of you and your friends messing around at a party last night. We are looking for artful photography that has meaning and elements of creativity behind it. You don’t need a super good camera to participate. All you need is a good eye and a place to upload your photos. Also feel free to discuss general photography concepts, equipment, or ask any questions.
Film/Cinematography
Similar to the photography aspect of CC we are looking for films with creativity which can include concepts, editing, just plain entertainment and more. Please do not post the video of you jumping off your roof into your pool…this just isn’t the place for that kind of film.
