Here Comes Reality By: Andrew McGivery
Wake up and face the nightmare Reality is creeping up on me Feel the shreds rip up my heart It’s taking bites out of my soul Here it comes.
It’s crawling up my neck And digging in my head It’s leaving its mark on me It’s taking over my soul Here comes Reality.
Wake up and face the nightmare It won’t go away until you are part of it It stalks me day and night It’s creeping on me Here it comes.
Life is one big learning experience But no amount of experience can prepare you for this Everyone is trying to teach you But no amount of learning can make sense of reality

That's a great poem. I lol'd because it's true. It's an interesting way of writing that with the last stanza being formatted completely different from the rest of them, and it works in this one. It's a nice finish to the quick-paced start and body of the rest of the poem. /applause
