articles.latimes.com/2009/jan/28/local/me-school28I just saw that article on Digg. I am absolutely disgusted by it. Discrimination should be outlawed regardless of the context. The Principal should lose his job and the students should have ever right to sue him for the harm he has caused to them.

In the highly liberal state of California, no less. go figure. You would think that this would not fly in the ideological climate there. Then again, this state also did pass Proposition Eight. Regardless, this is horrible. If it were up to me, the private school would lose whatever tax-exempt status or proxy funding it receives until it turned on its stance.

Christian-- blah blah blah. Christian-- this this this. Christian-- that that that.
Fuck California. Seriously, I have nothing against those who are Christian, please don't get my wrong. But that article is disgusting. Expelled for being lesbians? And they weren't even sure if they were! I'm not a lesbian and even I'm outraged by this. That's horrible. And to think parents put their hard earned money into shit schools like that.

No, it's not Fuck California. It's fuck Christians. Rather, fuck "Christians" Because true Christians don't discriminate like that. The fundamental teachings of Christ are love your neighbor. Sure, the bible also condemns homosexuality (Reference to Leviticus, wherein eating shellfish is prohibited and stoning one's wife is the punishment for adultery) but Christ laid an example for all future Christians when he healed lepers and had dinner with prostitutes. Also, Prop 8 was passed because of huge-ass donations by organizations such as the Church of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon church) and other religious groups claiming that " assing Proposition 8 protects our children [by defining] that a marriage is between a man and a woman." (because apparently gay marriage is predatory)
By allowing this church to discriminate against lesbians, it sends forth motion that gay men and women are lesser than those who are straight. It is the courts fault for that ruling, yes; but the true error lies in the "Christian" school where people are treated based on shoddy research and discriminative measures. But then again, all "Christians" do that.
I agree with Artos - if they receive any cuts from the government at all, they should have to comply with all anti-discrimination standards.
Fuck "Christians." I'm going to be a Buddhist.
