I was able to get my tire fixed today by gong to some old buddies at a locally owned mom and pop tire shop and got a tire mounted and balanced for 30 bucks total for a tire that was worth 40 minimum.
Anyone have similar stories of getting "hooked up"?

The GameCrazy down the road from me. I sold my PSP and all my games for ~50 but they tacked on an extra ten because I know them there and everything was still in mint condition - I still had all the cardboard and plastic wrap that my PSP came in some seven years later!

In columbus there's K&M Tire which is run by two indian blokes who have lived here for nearly 40 years. Super nice guys, making an honest living. All they make is the money from the labor. I bought four Yokohama 205/60/R14 Tires there for 150 Mounted, Balanced, Out the door. I take any customer vehicles there to get new tires put on them.

Okay, fine. Four years ago. It seems much longer ago than that =/ I honestly thought it came out in 2002! I had check Wikipedia for the release date of the Original. Which I'm still sceptical of~

My history professor was wicked awesome though (as in he was too high/burnt out to realize why the ink kept running out).

My history professor was wicked awesome though (as in he was too high/burnt out to realize why the ink kept running out). There are no free printers on campus for me. I had to use the Art and Design printers to print my images up and depending on what printer I used, it costed between $1 a page to $25 a page.

Well, I generally just use my own printer for papers, etc, but the Judiciary office has free printing so sometimes I just use that if it's a really long reading that I need a copy of. My design teacher, though, asked me to do a couple of presentations of my project so she usually had no problem when I asked to make more copies for my interviews. Definitely a sweet deal, considering the one time I couldn't go through her, I had to face Walgreen's prices and received crappy prints anyway.

I get things here and there from my work when they do deals with other companies. Free movie, theme park, and concert tickets. Stuff like that,
