So I've been doing webdesign for about a year now, and I've never had to work with video files until now. Unfortunately I have discovered that Dreamweaver CS4 has a problem with me and my .mov files. I go to place the file ONTO the page and it turns it into a little 32px by 32px box. I've searched everywhere on the net for help and I'm at a loss for what to do. It SHOULD just place the file smack on the page and play it through quicktime...
Any ideas? I've done everything from converting it to FLV files to new codes to embed and NOTHING works.

I've never dealt with just dropping a video into the site using CS4. Normally I host the video on YouTube or something similar and just insert the embed code. When you drop it into the site it doesn't give you a size variable in the code? Within the embed tag there should be a width and height setting.

There is indeed a size variable, but it defaults to 32 by 32 and when made larger it won't play at all. Just a white blank spot.
The issue with youtube is that I want a more professional feel and don't want the skin and the what have you of youtube on it you know?

No I do know exactly why most people wouldn't want to use YouTube. I'm assuming you just tried to do it from scratch as well Here's a little generator. A quick Google and I came up with this open source flash player that will play anything that Adobe Flash Player can handle. You might have to change your videos to FLV format, but hey it's not that hard. www.longtailvideo.com/players/jw-flv-player/Sorry like I said I've never had to embed actual video hosted on my server on any of my websites. I've always used YouTube or another video hosting service.

First off, ALL Adobe products HATE apple products. Besides that quicktime is a wasteful format that requires a useless video player that isnt the standard on the net. FLV is the the net standard. Use it.
