I like the bark of the tree, how it leads you up.

Trees: This is a very nice use of leading lines and textures. I also actually like this perspective for once, since I'm able to see the branches looming out at the top. However, it feels washed out, like there's a white film on it. That does kind of bother me. The colours also don't pop, taking away from some of the aesthetic value of the photo. It has a lot of good design elements, but it just doesn't really catch my eye and make me go "wow!"
Landscape: The exposure is definitely off on this. It feels very muddy. Was this done on film? It looks like you have a couple of dust spots that you need to get rid of as well. If the exposure were correct, it looks like it'd make for a great photographic location. Also, be careful with your focus, since the photo also feels a bit fuzzy. And to keep interest, allow for some clouds in the sky rather than the bright spot that is void of interest and distracting to the eye.

I definitely love the lines in the tree picture. I do agree with Saknika about making the colors come out more.
As for the second one something does indeed feel out of place. As Saknika said it does seem muddy and out of focus....idk how to pinpoint it.

The second one is a little too dark across the board to be honest, maybe a little dodging on the landscape could really bring out some more detail.
I really love the first! I've got a little side project that I'm playing about with at the moment myself; taking photos of trunk textures. It's quite interesting. Really love the detail in that one and it's a really nice angle that you've shot from. Kudos!

Well, I actually like the second one more than the first. It's dark, but I find that the darkness gives it a certain sense of artificiality, as if the landscape is really man-made and not truly natural. It feels like a peek into an extra-dimensional land, so as to speak. And that river looks amazingly pretty even from what little I can make out of it.
