This is just a general list of previous, current, and future community practices we are going to hold and participate in. Anyone is welcome to join. You may also use this thread to suggest practices to us that we can discuss, and to request for old ones to be redone if you feel that they are beneficial enough. I'll also try to keep things updated with links to old community practices so people can go back and see what was created. eLysian asked about doing another photo essay CP, any topic ideas? Also, any ideas about how we want to go about the panorama one?

The panorama is fairly straight forward - for me - PhotoShop > Merge to Panorama. But others may have a more hands on technique. Photo Essay sounds interesting, I can't say that I'm interested in participating until I hear a few topic suggestions.

Well, there are a lot of topics. Social Issues for instance,
poverty?

There are a lot of topics, the trouble is finding one that everyone could do, considering we all live in different areas.

Current Events? Give a six month dead line because a mayoral speech isn't everyday! Nor are other public events/gatherings.

Possibly. Poooosibly. If we do a 6month deadline though, a) would it get forgotten, and b) would everyone be okay with two community practices going at once so that things are kept (somewhat) fresh at the same time?

Sure. And why don't you guys use the Herald to promote current contests and community practices? People would have a (timely) reminder every two months that they can rely on. Someone, like me, may just press "mark all as read" when each topic has new posts.
The Herald is a great resources you guys and fun to read, why not self-advertise contests and such to members?

You guys should host the next one off site and have a view counter and IP logger.
If the IPs of users here get logged then you can knock out all the IPs that didn't originate from SSD. OH! Or better yet, use a javascript thing that records the web site the clicker originated from.

The Herald will never be off site. Kay intends to keep it here.
