Okay, so it's about 5:30am and I got another one of my hair-brained ideas. Bear with me here.
So.
I'm very happy to see such an influx of activity in here. Like, incredibly happy. You guys make my day. Takes me a little while to critique everything, but man, so worth it.
As I've been going through and doing the critiques, I have been noticing that a lot of us are sharing ideas, constructive feedback, and also ways to do certain retouches and edits in programs.
SO.
I was thinking that we could do a community project on them!
THIS WILL BE A LONG PROJECT. <- That's your only warning, heed it well.
Here's the idea:
I was thinking that I could post one of my SUPER HIGH RES RAWS up on here for download (my images are all copyrighted, so if you ever wanted to post somewhere, well, you better check with me first) and each of us could retouch to our preference/knowledge.
The catch is, you can't just post the final product. That would defeat the purpose I had in mind.
Instead, you will be required to make a tutorial of how you get to your final product. So basically, as you retouch you have to record exactly what you're doing in a manner that we can follow. I'm going to give you a hint, this is best done with images.
So why did I get this crazy idea?
Because I'm a very curious person, and being an artist I'm also a very visual person. And seeing all the activity I figure it would be a good time to try something like this.

What does everyone think? Yes? No? Other ideas? If we do have this though, I'll give you at least two months to complete it. Because I do realize it would be an incredibly long process. Incredibly long.
However, it'd probably be some of the most interesting information we've ever seen from each other as well. :3
