I've been registered here for over tree years. Never posted, probably visited once before today. I came back after I received a mass e-mail about a few of the contests going on. Might enter one or two :)
I'll try to be active. I'm in my second semester of college, plan to obtain a MFA in Photography with an BA or BFA in Cinematography. I've been using PhotoShop for three to four years of my recent life; I try and do minor photo-manipulations, and practice heavily in the Digital Darkroom field. I do take all the pictures I photoshop, I have a studio of three strobes which are triggered with an IR flash and a single white background (hope to get other colours soon!).
Look forward to getting to know this community! :D

Welcome welcome, can't wait to see some of your photography. Three strobes!? I'M JEALOUS! I only have two and some pocket wizards to trigger. ;A; I scored all three for 300$, a background unit & background for ~260. I failed to realized I'd need a trigger, so I had two bags of expensive & heavy toe-stubbing, floor hogging equipment for about a week. Haha. Give me some time to post a few shots - rest, then I'll pick some out :) Both of my photography and Digital Darkroom pieces. meep! I'm happy to see my mass email has raked in a few older members. <3 >:) I'm surprised - and thankful - my spam filters hadn't caught it and I checked that particular e-mail to see this. I get about 100 e-mails a day and about 98 of them go right to spam. I'll be sure to setup a custom filter which forwards this to the e-mail I check daily :)

... $300... are you serious? What's the watt? They have an output of 45watt-seconds/joules. I use to do Landscape photography so I'm not sure if your looking for WS's. There is also a 45i on the sticker of the strobe. They're cheap-o's. I can't adjust the brightness of the flash or anything, the sync speed seems to 1/180th, and I use my aperture to under & over expose while shooting at ISO100. I went with the cheapest and most complete system I could afford on a no-job & college student budget. Haha. lol better hide them or Saknika just might jump you No worries!

Haha, then you're safe, I don't have to jump you. I understand why they didn't cost all that much now. x3

Welcome. I'm stuck in Black and White photography with nice old 35 mm and manually developing it, but hey, we all have our preferences I prefer to color my photos myself. Mostly because I haven't gotten into color photography yet. But still. Welcome

I prefer to color my photos myself. In my High School photography class, it was B&W film and we had an assignment to colour some of our photographs. It was fun, but I'm a horrendous drawer and fail at choosing/mixing & matching colours :(

I don't have a decent camera anymore. I miss being able to really get into photography like I use to.

Any camera works, though when some one see's you holstering an SLR they'll usually follow you around XD Not to mention you get better enlargements from an SLR. "Follow the Pro!" Not I wish they be saying that~
