So I was off of school yesterday because of snow. I wanted to go take pictures, but the sky was just so miserable and I'm getting a pretty good cold. Last night freezing rain set in and then more snow. When I got up it looked so awesome outside that I just had to take some pictures. Here are 3 of them that I really liked. Description is on the dA page CapsulatedIsolationWinter WonderlandAny comments or thoughts are appreciated #hat.gif#

Capsulated Great control of depth-of-field and composition here. Absolutely wonderful. The use of leading lines is also done really well. However, there seems to be too little contrast, making the snow on the branch that you focused in on, seem out-of-focus at first as it blends into the background. This needed a little bit more light.
Isolation Usually I don't care for such empty photos, but because you do have shadows going on and good composition, it works. It really does work for this photo. I think that the lighting could have been a bit better, since the shadows aren't nearly as contrasted as I feel they could be, but it still works beautifully.
Winter Wonderland This is far too busy in my eyes. It seems like just a mass of lines and tangles, with no particular spot of interest. Not your best shot, but you did show good control of lighting.

I was supposed to drive down your way for a funeral today, and instead spent all day plowing out the driveways and what not.
About 4:30-6:00 AM, it was wicked. I looked out side and there was nothing that wasn't covered in a sheet of ice. On top of the pre-existing 6-8 inches of snow, and then getting the other seven inches today, it was a bitch.
Having a house in a small town is wicked. I'm glad that I moved. Tons of stuff to do now.
The first one looks good. The only thing I would have liked to seen was perhaps a thinner amount of snow spread over a wider area of the branch.
I like the second one. Only thing I can think of with this one is I wish that the plants in the back ground weren't there.
Third one, is not fair for me to critique because I hate photos looking at the sky through trees.

Yea it was insane. I wish I didn't have class today the roads are still hellish and the parking lot on campus still has 3inch thick ice on it...I honestly hopes someone slips, hurts themselves and sues the school...they didn't do their damn job. Thanks for the comments on the pictures though ^.^ I wasn't really going for the sky in the last one, it was more the trees, but whatever
