I have a few questions.
Do you want the stickers to be real or are you wanting people to create them and impose them upon an image?
And
Can the stickers be on anything?

Anything, and do what you will with the theme sticker. What does it bring to mind for you then create that.

Don't think I'm gonna make it d.Safe. It's been a bit of a crappy week for me, and I'm just too tired to finish what I started. Sorry dude. :<

No one has entered. I've been busy myself. I think next Friday will be the date after that I'll move forward to the next theme.

I don't want to say I'm going to submit something for sure seeing as I haven't fixed my virus situation, but I'm going to try.

Thanks for the heads up, and good luck I really want to see people try this theme. Everyone complains the themes are to bland so I'm trying to spice it up. If I don't get a bigger participation rate I'll have to go back to boring old themes. (We don't want this do we?)

LoL I really do like this theme, but it's hard to think of what to do.

who said the themes were too bland?
ive always said to use games/music/sports/freestyle and a different one every once and a while because this place gets no sigs for sotw. having more complicated themes doesn't help the fact. honestly, i dont know where to begin on a topic like this, but if it was music id have a sig done in like 10 mins.

adam, that's the point. and no, you're wrong. I distinctly remember Oliver doing things like this, or designing a logo, or something else and it always got lots of entries. Frankly, I see a lot of people are just too lazy to take the time to come up with something new. Since I've known you, almost all your sigs have been the same. Seriously, expand your creativity, and quit moaning and bitching about things getting more creative around here. You members aren't little kids anymore, and if you're serious about designing, or even want to expand your capabilities, then step up and do it.
if I had the means to actually create a sticker, I would. But unlike a lot of you, I'm new to Photoshop and haven't learned my whole way around it yet. but there are a number of you that have no excuse. take your favorite thing, and turn it into a sticker for christ's sake. adam, take a CD and turn it into a sticker. or a sig with a bunch of different musical notes that could be stickers. and yes, it may take you only ten minutes to whip up a music sig, but frankly, that's where I go back and point out how they all look the same.
my point; we shouldn't have to dumb down themes for you to participate in them.

FIRST of all. s84.photobucket.com/albums/k32/lpftags/s15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/lpfsigs/now tell me all of my sigs are the same. im offended by that. ive improved so fucking much since you started posting around here, and you tell me all my sigs are the same? im sorry that youre that graphically ignorant to say that, but they clearly aren't. sure, there's similar elements to some of my signatures, but dark signatures tend to look the same as other dark signatures and the same goes for light ones. while they may look the same, there's so many differences between them. last week. i lost because my sig "was the same" as last week. that coldplay sig was a 5 minute smudge sig. the cartoon sig took me about 15 minutes of blending, finding the right positions for the stocks, lighting, blending the render. i was pissed when i lost, because, no offense to the guy who won, but that sig wouldn't have been mentioned when those sigs were popular, and trust me, i was around when they were popular. look, im sorry that when ollie was around, there were better designers that id want to beat, but these days, nobody around here anymore gives me much of a challenge, other than dish, but he's the mod here now. and about the sticker? that's basically a freestyle sig. i could easily enter this and say it was a sticker. but thats clearly not the theme and i wouldn't do that. vectoring and this kind of stuff isn't what i do, i do sigs with more layers, more depth, that take a different skill than it does to make a logo or a "sticker." ish has a different skillset than i do, and because of that, he wins these over me when i enter, because what he does calls for more creativity. is that my fault? no, i never bothered to learn that and im likely not going to any time soon. i use stocks and renders and textures and put it all together, i dont take a pen tool and make a shape. anyway.

I never once said you haven't improved, and I never meant for you to take it that way. You have improved, but looking through those photobuckets, I scrolled and they blended together perfectly, because they all have the same kind of look. I'm sorry if you're offended by that, I never said they were shit, because they're not. And that one sig could not be submitted as a sticker. There's nothing sticker-ish about it. Okay, it's not your cup of tea, that's fine. But your post above mine wasn't needed then. Pointing out that it's a more difficult theme isn't going to change or improve anything. We know that it's going to stump some people, but we have to at least try.

and about the sticker? that's basically a freestyle sig. i could easily enter this and say it was a sticker. but thats clearly not the theme and i wouldn't do that. vectoring and this kind of stuff isn't what i do, i do sigs with more layers, more depth, that take a different skill than it does to make a logo or a "sticker." ish has a different skillset than i do, and because of that, he wins these over me when i enter, because what he does calls for more creativity. is that my fault? no, i never bothered to learn that and im likely not going to any time soon. i use stocks and renders and textures and put it all together, i dont take a pen tool and make a shape. anyway. From what I'm getting is that vectoring is, to plain and simple, this is basically a "Freestyle" theme week and its beneath you to go beyond your knowledge set to try a new style and maybe enjoy making art. Vector can be extremely detailed and can use more layers than most people put into a piece of art. If its such a freestyle theme and you can do it so easily, then post something and be a default winner if no one enters, which I'm hoping a few people do. Music, sport, games have been used not just occasionally but too often. Could be the mods not thinking of something better or not wanting to fail with themes that no one enters. I could care less if no one enters but I'm not going to ease up on my themes just because no one wants to try. The SOTW is meant to show artistic talent and I'm trying to bring the old school battle boards life into it. I know you have talent, you do. I like your sigs, but I want you to add color and try things you're not use to. Sure you may never do this ever again, but at least you beat everyone else on a subject you didn't care much for
