If you are a webmaster and just started a forum or a blog, would you consider paying people to get the things sped up at your site?
If it is a forum, I think buying paid posting is just lazy tbh. Plus, most of the posters are just so unintelligent and the threads they write are just so crappy and boring .i.e. "Whats your favorite food?".
However, for a blog, I think paid article writing is acceptable as it's a lot more work and it can be hard to keep a blog active with just you writing all the content for it.
I am thinking of hiring a few writers to start at my sports blog once I get it all situated. Anyone know what the going rate is? i haven't checked in a couple of months. Is it 2 cents/word? Thanks to anyone who helps.

I have no idea Gray. But then, personally, I'm too much of an independent person to hire people to help with a blog or forum like that. An e-zine, maybe, but not a blog or forum.

Paid posting on a forum? Hellz no. If you have to pay people to post they're posting for the wrong reason.
Paid posting for a blog? Now we're talking something that might work. I'm working on a gaming site that is based in the Cincinnati area and I plan on paying my staff for their posts on the front page (after I review them before they are posted). I don't see a problem with that at all think of all the huge blogs out there that pay people to write.
As for the rate I have no idea.

Well it is definately worth have new fresh content. Google will just spit you out if you use free articles from the directories. The going rates for article writers vary but you must make sure they are experienced in writing SEO orientated articles. I think 2 cents a word is a low estimate. This company seem to have a good rep but there are others. www.articlesandcontent.comHope this helps SLB
