Just wondering if any of you have ever tried out a chat room software for your website? Maybe built one yourself? I used to have ParaChat and ChatFiles on my noob website back in the day, I used to prefer ChatFiles since it used to load much faster and was ad-free then, and ParaChat would take days to load and had ads all over.

I actually use the same chat software on my site that SSD has: www.x7chat.com/It works wonders. I used to have this POS free chat system that sucked, but X7 rules.

MMNChat Drupal Module.
Best thing ever coded. He does nightly updates of it. It's fast, lightweight, and integrates with in a node so there's no coding needed to get it to look good.

Dupral is very similar to Joomla right?

Yeah. Drupal IMO is a more lightweight, reliable option. It also has a huge community of developers, and is entirely open source.
