Which do you use to design your websites and why?
i went through most of my time using tables but about a year ago i started changing to tableless designs.
i think tableless designs are better, smaller loading times and easier to read when looking back at it. it does take some time getting use to it but once you have learnt it its alot better.

The overall design for my websites is generally done with CSS, but depending on the content within it, I may have some tables that I add in to contain it the way I want it.

Well I don't consider myself very good at designing pages from the ground up, but I'm getting better. I personally use CSS. It's pretty much the standard these days with most sites.

CSS and XHTML 1.0 Strict
In other words, no tables unless they're being used to display raw data.
