No, this is not a thread about Obama.
How often do you change the theme of your site? Is there a reason for how long you go in between changes?
But maybe change isn't good at all. Your users may have have adjusted to your current theme and layout, that bringing any change will just annoy them and isn't worth it.

I get bored of things fast, but I'm also pretty lazy with my webdesign... so it's irregular and not too often. I generally will change though as my skills improve so I can make the design better and more user friendly/professional. Or, as my tastes change and demand something different.

I don't change mine that often. Usually when I change the theme it coincides with upgrades I do to other things as well. Sometimes I added new projects to the site, new options, etc. I usually don't just change the theme. Because of that I don't change themes that often, but they're usually well accepted.

When I feel like it, mostly. When I feel that we have the resources to come out with a better design, or I have new features planned that require a redesign. Honestly, changing it just because it got old isn't a very good reason to me, I need to have some kind of reason to change it. No point in just putting in the effort for a new skin, ha.

Well after a year I haven't changed the skin on my forum and I don't plan on changing it any time soon. However throughout the months it's been up I tweak it here and there. The things I change more than the theme on my sites are the sites themselves because I can't seem to get a system that I like. Every time I change means a new skin.
Personally I don't like sites that change skins all the time. Let it roll for a year or 2 before you even begin thinking about a change in my opinion.

I am another who gets bored with things easily, however constant changing can drive people away from forums so I stick with what i've got normally for a minimum of 4 Months.

Well I find no matter what you do you will never please all of the people. Probably a good thing though as we don't all want to be the same do we?

I used to have a free web templates website, so yeah, I used to change the design quite often. In a span of eight months I think it had about three designs.

I've just got this thing where I need it to change often or I get tired of it.
The forum I used to run was called compmodders. I basically gave that up because I got tired of the theme and not enough traffic.
Places with high traffic shouldn't change themes that often. Places with members should have a suggestion box and change after each peak in redesign requests so long as they don't change with in a two month period.
