Can we trust our Alexa rankings as an accurate rank for our traffic? Does Alexa even matter any more?
I have read many conflicting reports as to what the real meaning of your ranking is. The most common is, Alexa only counts traffic from browsers using their Alexa toolbar. So if people visit your site and they don't have that toolbar, Alexa won't count it or their visit wont weigh as much.
I personally don't care so much about my Alexa rank. It use to have some importance in the webmaster community, but now its lost its reputation. I care a lot more about my PR as opposed to the traffic rank. People use to care about it when buying ads on sites but now there are many other justifiable ways such as viewing awstats or Google Analytics to show the accurate traffic statistics.

I don't think it's that great or accurate, considering what you just said. My numbers and ranking fluctuated all the time, and it was quite different from what I saw in Awstats, so I don't really pay that much attention to it at all anymore.
