Which language did you write your very first program in and what was it? And no, don't say it was printing text, numbers or adding one number to the other, that's the basic stuff, something that you did on your own... like... you know.
And if it was HTML, well then you can tell us what you did, although we probably already know.
I think mine was in QBASIC, and I wrote a little menu driven program for a calculator. *nods* Then I added coloured text to it.

mine was in visual basic when I was in 6th form, simulated a petrol pump console with a display screen and input screen. that sold petrol and calculated how many liters were sold and the price.

Hehe, don't think QBASIC is really applied anywhere any more.

My first reeal program was on a Homebrew Enabled PSP. 5.00 m33 . It was made in C something. I think it was ++. I forgot. Anyways all it did was display whatever button you pressed, or the xy axis of the joystick.

It's been a while since I have coded C... C anything really.
For PSP Programing alot of those things that you can include in your code, I forgot their name, was invovled. So it made it easier. The hardest part really was setting up those files to work in it, and programing it to exit when you wanted it to.
I also mapped out the keys so it looked like the psp, so it was easier to tell what you were clicking. I wanted it to change colour, but I was a nub, so I just made it underlined.

My first program was of course Hello World in C++, after that my first personal program was a simple key binder for CS:S on console tweaks. The user would input a name, and some other commands then a file would be made that could be used in Counter Strike. If a user put in a string that was invalid the screen would flash red and white then ask to be re-entered. I couldn't begin to remember half of what i learned but I would love to re-learn it and make better programs.

Would've been HTML years ago, but for the sake of a semi-interesting post I won't count that.
Visual Basic was my gateway. Besides the ordinary trial-and-error programs I made to learn the various modules I think my first program was a rudimentary DoS attack. Worked off of WinSocket and was as basic as it gets. Merely spammed UDP packets.
As for programs that actually got used- the generators I developed for SSD back in the days of v3. They simply allowed people to enter in custom data for codes and it would generate the rest for them.

I remember those generators Bobby. You and David used to come up with some interesting stuff back in the day, and of course AwesomeAndrew.

Windows Server 2003 Messaging attack.
Essentially just spammed the hell out of every computer on the networks. If you were logged in, you wouldn't be for very long.
And of course the excludes list was only about four user names, mine included.
That was something that I and a group of friends worked on.
I'm sure there was one or two before that, but that's the first one I remember worked on par with what I had planned.
I also remember the days of making games for the Texas Instruments TI-83 Graphing Calculators.

First REAL program I made was when I was 11. I found out the password to an account that had write permissions on the school districts MySQL server... So I made a little program to log in and spam new entries with droptable commands in them until it worked.
Needless to say. I eventually dropped the tables.
YAY NEW STUDENT DATABASE.
