What about deleting the accounts with 0 to 5 posts? ... no. I've never been one to favor deleting accounts unless they belong to spammers. Otherwise, the high member count helps with our 'popularity' aspect. Could work the other way however. If they compare the member count to the apprent recent activity the natural conclusion is that the forum is dying or at least isnt what it used to be. Ive always been a fan of accurate statistics though.

What about deleting the accounts with 0 to 5 posts? We did it before. Peter wrote a script that did it. It was part of a major cleanout that saw a load of post/thread deletions happen too. Honestly... I didn't like it. Granted, it was before the code database was opened to the public so you had to have an account registered and a shitload of people reregistered in the weeks following the cleanout but I just don't think it is a good idea. It won't speed the forum up. It doesn't hurt the memberslist like it used to. So why do it?

Stats. Make us more alive because people could judge us this way.

Stats. Make us more alive because people could judge us this way. What are they going to do? Divide the total posts by total members? Trust me, there are just as many inactive members with more than 5 posts as there is total members with less than 5.

We won't be deleting accounts, so move on from that.
Anymore, serious, and good ideas? 'cause I'm locking this thread when I get out of my classes. Which is in two hours.

I found the member pruning thread in the archive. Ollie clever titles it
"0 Posters, You are the weakest link, goodbye."
In the thread someone said over 15,000 accounts were deleted.
Anyways, I'll just beat kay to the punch. Any more serious v7 inquiries can be sent to her PM inbox or just make a new thread if it warrants one.
thx guys.
