Only reason I'm hesitent on this is because ZD loads slowly for me. Even on broadband. ^^ and SSD loads fine for me, even on Dial up

Also for Dial up users, taking away the headers and footers could make it go a lot faster because SSD would have less to load. He's saying for the people who choose to leave it on. Get a browser where you can disable JS, if that's how you want it to be, then I don't think you should make it complicated for someone else, when all you have to do is download a new browser like FF.
