well, i know you have the hide cat code on. very useful. but what about hiding boards? i wouldnt mind being able to hide arrivals/departures, photography, tutorials, and a few others. maybe have it where the old/new icons hide them? what does everyone else think?

why wouldnt it be worth it? longer loading times or something? if it is unpractical then forget it.

Forget it. I don't know why people would want to hide forums or categories anyway, it's the height of laziness.
It'll get the loading time up, people will moan about it and it's not really worth it.
