SOTW #41Well this weeks theme was based around freedom/anger, participants had to make a signature relating to their own interpretation of freedom/anger. Here are the entries that caught my eye, again don't feel bad if you aren't included in here as you can continue to try in future weeks.
Mary- Not bad colour used here, I like the use of the bird but I think that the bird here seems a little bit too blurry looking. Perhaps the lines placed in the bottom left hand corner could be made white and maybe try fading them into the background.
Delirious - Some nice details in the background here, I like how the shades of colour have been varied a little, works well. I do think the image used here looks more like cheering or celebration rather than anger, but that might just be me. You could maybe try a slightly more angry looking font here too, seems a little too hi-tech.
Crazed - Again nice details in the background, I like the idea of red being used as anger, but the image just seems too saturated in it. Also perhaps you could try some bigger and bolder looking fonts to get a bit more emphasis into the text. The pixel fonts don't really do it justice in my opinion.
excelsior - Not bad, I like the render use here, taken from one of your other pieces, but I think the grass on the mountains could be a bit darker looking. Also for the text, maybe try making it without the glow around it and perhaps try reducing the size a little bit more.
alpha_omega - Very nice detailed entry here, the colour used in through the images works really well, quite a busy looking background, but works. Your main downfall I felt was the text, perhaps keep it plain, maybe darken an area for your main text so that it stands out more than it currently does.
.enigma - A nice entry and close winner, I like the gun and typed letter added here, I think the blood could be a bit more realistic, like it's soaked into the page or something. Maybe you could make the paper seem a little more crumpled too. But really nice idea here.
And our winner is: DLT - I liked this piece, some nice vibrant colours coming though here, very clean looking and I like the bird in the background. Perhaps increase the size a little too, something like this would work better being wider. Good Work!

SOTW #42Ok well this week there was no set theme, however it produced a nice set of quality images, would of liked a few more, but on the whole pretty good. Here are some of the entries that I thought stood out as being particually good. Again don't worry if you aren't added to this list, not everyone gets on it.
cyberex» - An interesting style of image, I particually liked what you had done with the text, though any effects at the bottom of the image don't look so clear. I felt that the colour combination here worked well too. Overal not a bad job.
Insane - Not too bad looking, the blood stands out well here which is good, though I think this would probably look best as a larger piece, you have a lot of small details and texture there which doesn't look as effective on sig, but some nice ideas. Not so sure about the "silence" text backwards, I like the font chosen for the main text though, perhaps make the "M" in solid white so it stands out.
DLT - I like the two colours which you have chosen here, they work well together. Though I do think this style of work is becoming a little popular, perhaps take off the scanlines and try other things than butterflies here. Also maybe try to vary the style of it a little more from the last one you made. I like the heart used here though, fits in with the 'life' theme you have going here.
Hogosha - Like the others the mix of colours here fits in really well, I like the nice smooth looking render here too, background isn't too full of effects which is good and looks pretty original. I think that you could try some other fonts here though, the pixel ones tend to get used quite a bit, you could try something a bit bigger.
.enigma - Very colourful looking, really catches the eye which is nice, though there could of been a little more focus to it. Again like some of the others this would of benefited from some bigger text.
Rèédy - Colours are fine here, I liked the background, thought that looked interesting, not so sure about the character added in the middle there, just doesn't seem to fit in with the style. Maybe some outlines of buildings and things would work well? Text could perhaps be made a little bolder.
T A N K - A nice colourful entry, really like the idea of the little hearts attached to the plants here, though I do think that it's a little rough in places. Also I'd perhaps take out a few plants and the "vector" and "sotw" part, they make it a little too crowded in my opinion.
Lily - I really liked this one too, nice mix of colours, flowing smoothly together. However you do need to look at the size requirements more carefully, this was too small in width. Perhaps just a sans serif font could be good here, rather than the commonly used pixel fonts.
and this weeks winner is: Christie! A very good looking entry here, I like the vector style lips and the little hearts going into the mouth, a nice idea! I like how you have done the text here too, I think it would be good if you moved it up a little though. Good Job Problem with the headers and footers, will get the table up soon.

SOTW # 43Ok this week the sigs were based on peoples own interpretations of lyrics. A nice collection of images this week too, with different styles which was nice to see. As usual here are the images that I thought were particually good, don't worry if you are not inlcuded on this list, there are plenty of other chances.
SSJ Sonic-X - I like the background effect here, seems to work really well with the lyrics there, good choice of colour for text too. A relatively simple looking piece, not sure that the large text at the top is needed though.
Fire Temptress - A nice idea with all the text in the background, though I'd of perhaps used something else than a pixel font. Also maybe take out the images there and just have it concentrated on the text effect. Good idea here though.
T A N K - Nice smooth looking vector style there, I think that the heart could be a little darker perhaps. Maybe a little too much going on here, not too sure that the little rabbits on here fit in too well. I think the text here is fine though, nice and simple is all that is needed here.
DLT - I like what you've done here, especially with the logo on here, stands out nicely. The colours here also fit in nicely, red used only in small amounts so that it's not overpowering or anything. Not so sure about the pixel text near to the "RHCP" though.
optix - A very minimalistic signature here, but it does look effective, the blood here catches the eye too. I think I'd just try something other than a pixel font for it though, they do tend to get a little bit too overused in my opinion.
Christie - Interesting looking sig, plus not an easy set of lyrics to do either. But I like your interpretation, would be good if the background effects stood out a little more though. Text is good, except for the blur on it, maybe just add *'s for the language.
Rèédy - Another nice image, has a good simple feel to it, but looks effective, the vector work at the bottom is smooth. The main thing that I think could be worked on here is the text, perhaps a little more spacing in between the lines.
And for our winner this week: Kari! Very nice idea here, I like the snow effects on the tree, works very well, plus I found the small details on the snowman to be pretty effective too. The text on here is good, nice and simple and does the job which is fine. Good Work.

SOTW #45This week the theme was based around movies, participants had to design a signature around a film of their choice. here are some of the entries that caught my eye, don't feel bad if you aren't included on the list, there is always next time. There was a small set of entries, would of liked to of seen a few more though.
Christie? - A rather simple looking image here, but pretty good, I like the yellow border added to this one, helps it stand out. I think it would be better without that grey stroke around the edge though. Perhaps move the arrow down a little so there is a little space between it and the text.
optix - I like the colours used for the background, it's good that the colours have been varied slightly. Though I think that the image to the left seems a bit small and doesnt't quite fit in with the colours here. I think the text is pretty good, though perhaps less space between the cross and the rest of the text.
ll aphotic ll - Not bad, the colour here is ok, I think the brushing helps the image stand out a bit more. Though the style is a little common in style I think. Perhaps try keeping the text fairly plain looking here by just having it in white.
MadJackMcJack - Nice image used on this one, I like the text faded into the background, I like how you have singled out "soap" too, I do think that the text would be good without the outline on it. Perhaps you could add a border around the edge of the image.
Killa~Klown - Nice image here, pretty eye catching, plus lots going on here too which is good. I like the placment of the text here, seems to fit in nicely. The images which you have added all blend in well. I think that it may be better off without the little pixel lines around the edge though.
T A N K - I like the background on here, the image seems to fit in fairly well, but the face seems a bit bright in my opinion. What I'd suggest is altering the text a little more, perhaps into a more traditional style of font, there's a LOTR font you could use.
For this weeks winner: Mustardseed - A nice simple looking signature, but it looks effective, the stock images here have been positioned really nicely in my opinion. The colour here is nice and soft, nothing too overpowering, The text is simple but does the job, good work.

SOTW #45Well this week the theme was based around summer, we has a small amount of entries this week, would of liked to see a few more though. Here are a small selection of the ones which caught my eye.
Jpy8 - I like the photo you took here, provides a nice amount of colour, to improve the image as a whole, perhaps lighten the left hand side of the image, with a white to transparent gradient which would make the text stand out more.
Mr. Kool-Aid Man - This was an interesting one, I think it would look a little more effective if you took more advantage of the size which you were allowed here. The images seem to fit in nicely and the little split in the middle is a nice touch. However the text does seem a little too blurry in places.
.e|nig|ma - The colouring seems quite nice here, the shade of orange used there isn't too overpowering or anything which is good. Though the background could be a little more interesting perhaps. Not so sure about the pixel font here, you could probably manage without it.
T A N K - A nice peaceful looking image, a close winner here. I like the little trees used there, looks a lot less crowded than some of your other pieces which is good. I'm not so sure about those lines which go across it though, especially on a vector piece. Good work overall though
Finally for our winner this week: Lily I like the amount of colour used in your work, helps it stand out well from a lot of other entries which is important. The choice of font here seems suitable for the kind of image too. The photo of the girl there is a nice touch to finish off the signature in my opinion. Not so sure about that white inner border though. Good work!

SOTW #46 Ok well these results were delayed with proboards version 4 around the corner, so apologies for that first off. The next sotw will return on Tuesday 17th MayThis weeks theme was based around nothing in particular therefore it gave people an oppertunity to use a variety of different styles and techniques. Here are some of the ones which caught my eye, don't feel bad if you aren't included on the list: Gojiita - The colour from the images here helps it stand out well, I think the background is fine being fairly plain as the main focus is on Gorillaz. I'd perhaps experiment more with your fonts though, try varying the colour a bit more and avoud little pixel fonts for the names, they do tend to get overused a lot.
Fire Temptress - The character to the left here stands out nicely from the plain background which you have added there. I'm not too sure about the lines on here, they seem to be in the way a little bit, perhaps try making the text a darker colour, so it doesn't look like the text is being crossed out. Also I don't find that the little scrollbar to the right is needed here. The main font is fine though
eenigamah.gif - Quite a lot going on in this one, a nice amount of colour used here too, which always helps to make something look a bit more interesting. I think you should try to make it a little less busier though, there's no real focus to it. The font is ok, but I'd perhaps use another one for some letters, so that it's varied more.
T A N K - An interesting entry, though there are certain things here which don't quite work in my opinion, perhaps take out all those shapes in the background, seems a little too much. Also maybe some more vibrant colours to go with the black here?
Rèédy - The background here looks interesting and there is some variation with the colours and everything, so good job there. But the chracter looks a little bit too isolated in my opinion, perhaps there could be a little more going on in the background.
Aphotic - A nice signature, the features in it look really appealing, especially with the cats there, gives it more of a natural feel. Perhaps more colour could be be used here though, thats the one thing which I feel is lacking. Your text is pretty simple but it's all thats needed I think.
Finally this weeks winner is Lily, well done once again. I like this signature, very peaceful looking and simple and has a good composition The text has been kept nice and simple and I think thats all that's needed for this. Good work!

SOTW #47Ok this weeks theme was based around a quote of your choice. there was a whole range of famous people that appeared in peoples signatures. There were some good entries, here are the ones that caught my eye, obviously it's not possible to include them all, so don't feel bad if you are not included.
Styl3z - Not a bad signature, the colour here is slightly varied which is good, the image to the left here fits in well however it looks a little bit plain in the middle there. I think a white fill for the text would be good too.
Insane - A nice simple looking signature, I think the blue gradient here loosk good, better than using just a plain solid colour. I think that the image could stand out a little more though. Perhaps make the name in white too, I don't think the red fits in too well here.
lnkn - Good colours used on this one, they work well with the "canada" theme which you having running through this one. I think the images could be blended in a little more here, everything just seems overlayed.
c130 - I like the background here, looks nice, nothing too powerful. I do think the text is a little bit large though, so perhaps make it smaller? Overall not a bad entry.
Reedy - I think that the dark background ehre works well, the image also stands out well, though it lacks a little bit of interest in the background, perhaps there could be a little bit more going on.
Aphotic - A nice clean looking signature, the images fit in well here, a nice mix. The text is also very clear looking, but like with some of your other work it does lack a little bit of colour.
Liquid // Ice - This is a very interesting and original looking signature, a close winner too in my opinion. I really like the blackboard idea, not so sure about the chalk at the bottom, I'd perhaps leave that off.
And for a winner this week it's cyberex! I really liked this one, there is a nice amount of colour in here and fits in with the artists style quite well I think, although it could do with some kind of focus, but overall a very eye catching piece. Good Work

SOTW #48This week the theme was based around emotions, partipants made signatures based around an emotion of their choice. It produced some interesting results. Here are some of the entries which caught my eye, don't feel bad if you aren't included in the list, there are always other chances
Bluefire221 - I like the background on here it fits in well with your theme that you have chosen. I also like how the text is arranged in the background. But I'm not so sure about the font, also the main text seem a little bit blurry.
Crazed - This is an interesting looking signature, the pixelated effect to the right is slightly different touch, though I can't quite make out what that's supposed to represent. I think that your text on here is a really too small.
Fire Temptress - I really like the colour which you have included on the photo of the girl, it suits the colours of your image well, a good choice. I like that the text has been kept simple too. However I think that the background is a little too plain though.
Aphotic - I like how you have blended in the image here, your theme seems to fit in nicely with the images that have been included here. However, like some of your other images it lacks a little bit of colour. The text looks fine though
Lily- I like the amount of colour used in your work and this is no exception, it all blends in nicely together, however not quite sure how the image fits in. The text is fairly clear too, overall a nice job
And for this weeks winner it is: spilling.heart This is a very creative looking piece, works perfectly with the the theme, I particually like the finger print and the heart there. I think it might be a nice idea if you made the blood a little bit darker though. Overall a nice job

SOTW #49This week the theme was based around typography where the text represented an idea or showed irony in a word. We had a pleasing turnout here. With some interesting entries. Here are some of the entries which caught my eye, don't feel bad if you aren't included in this list.
Nick - I liked the use of the different fonts on here, perhaps you could vary the shade of green more, it all seems concentrated on one shade. I think it would of been best without your name to the left as that stood out a bit too much in my opinion. Aphotic - This had a nice clean feel to it, I like the reflection idea which you have done here. All the text is nicely positioned and a nice choice of font there. The only problem is that it's not that eyecatching. cýbërèx - A very nice entry, I especially like how you have actually made characters from the words, works well. Perhaps the "c" could be more curved, it looks a little bit like a square bracket at the moment. Crazed - A really nice arrangement of chracters there, to form a rough looking sheep, very original and interesting looking. Though I'm not a fan of the little speech bubble there. Uzukami - This had a nice idea, I liked the text falling off the cliff. Instead of the solid grey block though, perhaps you could of filled it with small grey text in the shape of a cliff. egbakaet - I like the idea, especially the glasses therem but the text is a little blurry on them. Perhaps you could of made the "Geek" text a little smaller, but overall a good job here. And for this weeks winner: JzEx - I really like how you have made each chracter fit into the "death" feel, very good idea, good choice of colours too. The only thing I'd change is the little stickman to the left. Well done.

SOTW #50This weeks theme was based around the number 50, this was quite a tough one, so not a great amount of entries here, but there will still some that caught by eye. Therefore I'll comment on them below. Again don't feel bad if you aren't included this time, there are other chances which can be used to get a mention
spilling.heart - This was ok,the colours here work well together, but the background does seem very plain looking. Maybe you could add a brighter shade of green to the stars. I think that the animation on here is a nice touch though, but you really need more variation in the background for this to stand out.
DLT[errific] - The colours here seemed mainly fine and the render provided a bit of detail, but it's all rather trendwhore n style. Perhaps you could darken the bottom areas, then add the text all together on 2 or 3 lines, rather than have it all scattered around.
Advanced.Creation - Again not a bad piece, the colours here were nice and varied, the hand was also a nice touch here. I would of gone for less of an abstract feel for the background on here though, it doesn't quite work with the hand. What I'd suggest is keeping the text together more, like DLT's it's rather scattered looking.
JzEx - This was good, I like the use of the eye and the texture in the background, I would of perhaps made the background a little bit lighter in places though, as it is quite a dark image. Maybe try a more solid looking font for the text here, the current one seems a little scratchy.
Lans Tartare - I really liked this one, while keeping it looking fairly simple, the animation here is very smooth and catches the eye. Really original looking idea for this one, probably one that fits in with the theme a little better than some of the other enties. Good work.

SOTW #51This week there was no particualar set theme, so it was a free for all. As usual everyone was welcome to take part. There are a good number of entries this week too. Here are some of the signatures that caught my eye and thought deserved a mention. Again don't feel bad if you haven't been given a mention here.
egbakaet - This wasn't too bad, the colour here has been varied slightly which is good, the image to the left here fits in well. I like your name to the right there, but the problem is the side text, perhaps move that under your name, not too sure about the kind of grainy effect that is there in the background though. LPF - The silhouette vector is nice here, I like the moon and the little peopple, though not sure about the bottom part. Is that supposed to be water? Maybe take out the brushed looking stars too. FT - Not bad detail in the background here, certainly works well with the fire theme that you have here, though there doesn't seem to be a real main focus to it. I think that the text here could be improved more, perhaps keep your name in the same font. Rèédy - Very nice image, positioned well and some nice variation with the lighting in the background. I think that the text is the main let down here, it seems too small and the little arrow to the left doesn't quite stand out enough to do justice. JzEx - An interesting looking sig, very plain colourwise but it does look effective as the black here stands out well. I think it would be nicer if the elements in the background didn't overlap onto that border though. The placement of the text is ok for the "51" "because I'm bored part" but the rest seems a little too separated. Lily - A nice abstract syle here, as always there is a good use of colour here in my opinion. The signature it's self does look very appealing with the choice of colour and catches the eye. The text could be improved though, these pixel fonts are very overused on peoples work. For our winner this week: Edd! I like the mix of texture and colour here in the background, works superbly together, plus like lily's it looks eyecatching too. The text here is ok, a good choice of font in my opinion, I'd perhaps remove the duplicated text behind though, seems a bit like double vision. Plus the quote at the bottom would be nice as one line.

SOTW #52This week the theme was based around "escape". Escape is a word which can mean many different things and the results of the contest showed this. To be honest, it was disappointing and thats reflected in the number of people in this weeks list as it is about half of what it usually is. Nevertheless, thanks to those who did enter. If you didn't make the list don't worry, as there are always other chances
Advanced.Creation - Not a bad signature here, I think that the cars in the background should really feature more in the image then the abstracty sides and scanlines here. Also perhaps make the text a bit smaller, try placing it above all the other layers too, so that it looks clearer.
egbakaet- A nice idea here, produces a very grim looking image, but it works well. There is some nice texture. The images fit in well and stand out too. I think the use of the pixel text here is really out of place though, you don't really need it ehre.
¡enigma! - The colour here is nice and varied, plus it's also very eyecatching. However there is a problem here, it's that the amount of colour seems to detract a bit too much from the dog. The bold text works well, though I'd perhaps use something other than a pixel font here too.
and finally, this weeks goes to Edd again. Well done! The green and yellow work really well with each other, especially with the panda theme. I think that the panda could be cut out a little better, there are a couple of rough edges there. The text is simple but works effectively, overall nice job! 3 Stars = Custom title awarded.

SOTW #53This week the theme was based around Histrorical events and people, a small turnout however but some people definately put a little more thought into their signatures this week I felt. There were quite a few more original signatures too. Once again, here are the results of the ones which caught my eye. Remember this contest is for fun so don't feel bad about being left out of the list.
Assassinator - I like the background- the coloring is really soft, and the texture is just enough to add some interest. The face was cut out nicely enough, though it does seem to make it a bit heavy on the right, something on the left would even it out. The text is nice, I like that it's not so flat, but it reminds me too much of edd's, and originality ranks more highly with me. Lily - This had quite a busy looking background, while the idea was there, the background seemed to prevent the image from appearing clearly. You may also want to add more darker areas to it, so that you break things up more. The text here was nice and clear though. DemonCleaner - This was a relatively simple looking signature, plus quite original looking too. The image to the left is well placed there and suits the background. However your text is the area which lets the sig down I feel. It seems somewhat unorganised. I would perhaps keep the text at full opacity and on a normal blending mode. The "it lingers on" part really could be made a little bit bigger. [TAO REN] - The dates were a little bit out on this one, but the signature as a whole looks creative. The names in the background work really well with this theme and show that thought has been put in. The vector shape on the left stands out nicely and looks effective. As with some of the other signatures, the text really could be a bit better. Try to avoid the blur behind the text. Also remember to turn anti alias on for the main text, it seems a little jagged in places. This week's winner is enigma: This signature is nicely done, the images here all fit in nicely together, I particually like the flag blended into the green background which matches the statue. The text is ok, I'm not usually a fan of text on a slant but it works pretty well here. Overall good job! Well done.

SOTW #54This week the theme was based around places, we had a range of quite varied entries this week too with lots of different places being used, some quite interesting ones too. Here are the entries which caught my eye, don't feel bad if you aren't included. Remember that it's just a little bit of fun
Darkruler - The colours in the photo here are very nice and work well together, but you really need more than just a photo for this to be effective looking. For the text I would avoid using the pixel fonts on there as they tend to be very overused these days. Edd - Again like Darkruler's entry it just appears to be a photo on it's own, it fits in nicely, I like the wintery feel from the trees there, but more needs to be done I feel. The text is in a nice style, I would suggest making it a little bit bigger though. ramseus - This was an interesting one, the colours in the sky seemed really appealing here, I also like how not too much detail has been added but it's been made more blury. I would maybe remove those lines that are like a big grid too. The text is pretty good, the fonts used are nice and simple and the colours for the text fit in well. TAO REN - I've seen a big improvement from you recently with some of your work, this has some really nice ideas in it. Particually with the Japaneese flag colours used in the background. The tree here is a nice addition to the background. I think that the symbols to the left could be smaller, without the stroke and placed under the "JAPAN" text. You may also wish to consider a darker shade of red for the text. This weeks winner is: Mitch! He's done it again! What really appealed to me here was the colours in the background, it was nice and varied but not in a way in which is becomes overpowering. The silhouettes of the grave stones here really look quite powerful with the background. Quite simple text but I think that's all that is needed for this. Well done Mitch!

SOTW #55Well, Oliver is off in France this week and has left me to judge this weeks SOTW, as well as start the new one. This weeks theme was based around the 4 elements: earth, fire, water, and wind. We had an ok turnout this week with some many different types of sigs. Here are the entries that caught my eye the most, but don't feel bad if you aren't included.
DemonCleaner: A fairly nice sig here. I like the brushing in the back coupled with the nice lighting. The background has an overall good texture. The text here is alright nice, very suitable, and I like the addition of the leaf behind “earth” text. I also like how you branched out here and did a sig on something that not many others did. The ont hing bothering me though is the size and shape. I just don’t find this particular shape to be all that attractive, and the size seems a bit small. Other than, I quit elike this entry. Angeloffire83: Not too bad, I like how you incorporated all of the elements in here. The text I’m not to keen on, particularly the font. I feel something just a bit simpler would work better, I just feel that it seems a bit too “handwritten”. I’m also not really liking the glow. Perhaps it would look better with out that. However, the one thing that in my opinion really lets this sig down is the background. I feel the color could have been brought out a bit more, it seems rather bland, and also, the texture in the background is rather common. I think you would have been better off not using abstract brushing here, though you did do nice in trying to not let it show so much. HPMAD l33t: Not too bad. The text is rather suitable, though I don’t particularly like the font chosen. I think something along the lines of a script font would work better here. The background isn’t bad, it does give the whole sig a “water” feel, but I find it rather boring. I’ve seen this type of background before, and not that it is bad or anything, it’s actually quite tough to get, but it just seems like you read a tutorial and used that. I think it would be a lot more affective had you messed around a bit more, possibly duplicating the background and rotating and did some blending, just to make it look more unique, if you get what I mean. I’m not really liking the writing on the left in the pixel font either. I feel a more simple font would work better here. Electra: A nice sig indeed. I love the texture you used in the background, like how you varied it depending on the element. That is quite nice. I also like the symbols you used here and how they mimic the color in the background. They are also very appropriate and match each element nicely. The text here I feel could be brought out a bit more, but I like the soft bevel you gave it. One more thing, the sig overall to me just seems a little bit to faded, I think it could be a bit more vibrant. The colors to me are just a little bit to bland-ish. Chazz: Not bad, not bad at all. The one thing I do like about this sig is the color. I like all of the different blues you gave this piece, and the water riplling texture you gave the background is rather good, it really helps this sig I feel. The stock on the right isn’t bad at all. You’ve blended its edges rather nicely, and the deep blue color in the stock really adds to the sig nicely I think. The two things though that really let this image down in my opinion are the border and text. With the text, I think a better font could be used, it seems a bit to curly in my opinion. With the border, I think you could have taken away the one that is actually ON the sig. You then could have increased the outer border by 1 or two pixels. That may have been nice. Nice work. And for our winner… Ibishi: This sig is very, very good. I like how it is so simple yet it has great detail. The desert box is rather nice looking, I like the hills or dirt and sand, and the cactus is a good touch. The wind box is also very nice. I like the swirling little designs you used to symbolize wind, and women character is great. The third box, the one of the water, is great. The bubbles are very well done, and the shapes in the background are also a nice touch. That particular blue color is rather nice. The last square is what won it over for me. The clouds above the volcano are great, as is the volcano itself. The lava here though I feel could have been worked on just a bit more, but other than that, it’s great. I also like the borders you put around each box, a cool little feature. Wonderful job here, ibishi. One star awarded. (I’m sure Oliver will get you a SOTW sig when he returns)

SOTW#56This week the theme was based around Natural Disasters, only a small range of signatures this week. Hopefully next week we should see some more. Thank you to Mitch for running this last week, much appreciated. Here are the signatures that caught my eye, like before don't feel bad if you aren't included.
Nemesis Zero - I though that the image here was good, a nice choice, but it did lack in colour a bit though, try not to resrict yourself by just using one colour. I would of made the text smaller on here too. Perhaps something which isn't so jagged around the edges either.
Artos - A nice effort here, the colour used here isn't too bad. However I think the effect in the background seems too soft and you can't make it out too well. If you used images on it, then a good idea is to avoid using filters on them. Also with the text I find it quite hard to read, try looking for something simpler, it may also help if you darkened an area so that it stood out more.
Trout - I like the use of the city there, although like the others the colour could be improved a bit more, especially things like the sky and buildings which in themselves contain some nice colour. I would suggest playing around with the layer modes to get some interesting effects. Try moving the text up a little bit more, perhaps it could be brighter too,
Assassinator - The idea here is good, especially with the sign there. I think it would be good if it was smoother though, also placing it in the middle may help more. Plus you could vary the image in the background a little bit more. You could also move the text nearer to the sign so that it looks a little bit less separated. You could probably get away with it in caps since it would work with the "danger" feel.
And for our winner this week, without a doubt: JzEx A very simple looking signature, but pulled off nicely with a good idea too. I think that the text could be a little bit more readable though, thats the main downside to it I think. However, the slight variation of colour for this one is really good. Well done!

SOTW #57This week was pleasing, a nice amount of submissions here which made it feel more worthwhile for many of you I'm sure. Here is a list of the entries that caught my eye, don't feel bad if you aren't included in this list as there are other oppertunities to improve your work.
Jacob - On here I liked the idea if you adding an image to the left rather than just leaving all the brushing in the background otherwise you would not be in this list. However your text does need work as I feel it lets the piece down significantly. Something simple would be fine here, perhaps a white colour, keep it fairly small too. LPF - Not bad but again, very trendwhore looking. Yellow isn't an easy colour to work with, for a slipknot theme I would of thought a grey/black/red feel would go well here. Maybe try making the background of the text contrast more from the background. Artos - A rather different looking image, had some nice ideas, the colour here is not just one throughout which is good. But there needs to be more to draw people to the signature, perhaps something which has been faded in there. For the text I would suggest bringing it together more so that it isn't so dotted around. sugar.dogg - The placement of the text here is good and work well, plus the clour stands out well from the dark background which is good. The background to the right does seem a little bit repetitive looking though. I would try increasing the size of the band name at the bottom. Exultance - The colours here aren't too bad looking, good that you have used some yellow highlights in with the orange. I would try to make the text stand out a little bit more. Instead of darker, I would try making it a little bit lighter. JzEx - The image here fits in well with the colours, nicely placed too. Nice level of detail here, without it looking too busy or too empty which is good. The main thing here would be the text, try making the box wider and removing the stroke around it. For this weeks winner: OléOléOlé - This was a very creative looking signature, the trees in the background work really well, plus the symbol in the middle is very appropriate. I like the arrangement of the the text at the botto, although the top isn't really needed here I don't think. Or could be placed nearer the bottom.

SOTW #58 This weeks theme was based around time, lots of different interpretations for this one too. There was a nice collection of entries this week too. Plus many of our new faces have sucessfully made the list for the first time too, so well done there Here are some of the entries whcih caught my eye this week. Once again, don't feel bad if you aren't included on the list as there are other chances for you to improve. |-| P |\/| 4 |) l33t - There was an interesting mix of colour included on this one, I'm not too sure about the use of a tree here though. I think that the text here is the main thing to work on, I would of darkened an area for it so that it stood out more. Also perhaps make it so that the text lines up natalie - The use of the clock and the colour here is nice, however it is the text which lets it down. It really needs to be darker for it to stand out. I would of also used a black border here. Not bad for your first contest entry here .graphite - Nice little message included in the signature, I think it would be nice if the whole clock on the left was included on this. Also I'm not so sure about the top part of the sig, I would of perhaps just use a subtle gradient in the main background instead. Maybe move the text to either the left or right. T-Man - A very simple but also effective looking image I feel. The idea is nice, but the clock is cut off at the top which is a shame. Also I would try reducing the text size slightly, perhaps the same for the reflection too sw36 - Again a simple looking signature, not overpowered but eyecatching with the use of the red text. The main thing to improve here would be to move the red text to the right a little more more. I also think that there are too many question marks repeating in the backgroound. JzEx - A nice style there, very clean looking image, stands out well, however the problem is that it was too similar to the last one. On the whole a nice image with good colours used, brown isn't used a great deal. The script style font works well here too. And for this weeks winner: Nathan - A rather simple looking image but also quite original, most people went for a very clock based style this week. The colours here work well, just black, white and red used in the right amounts is perfect. The text is positioned well. My main suggestion would be to make the image fit within the signature, it does overlap. Good Job overall!

SOTW #59This week's theme was based around logos, each participant designed a logo based on a company. They were instructed to keep it simple and not to complicate the background with filters or anything like that. Here is a little selection of logos which caught my eye this week. Don't feel bad if you aren't included here as there are other chances next time around
GrimReaper - The thing that stood out here was the range of colours which were used, the use of circles here is also nice. There are a few things which I think you could work on though, try making the circles smaller so that there is more white space around. Plus The text on the right could be smaller too, ideally the two lines of text should be exactly the same width, so perhaps play around with the spacing more. sugar.dogg - The small illustation to the left is nice and fits in nicely with the company name which you gave it. There is a nice amount of white space in the background, not too crowded. My main improvement here would be for the text, not too sure about the font which you have used here. Like Grimreapers, try and get both lines of text to be the same width. Callan - This was a good entry, with just black and white used you have managed to make it look effective. I like the tall font which you used for the text here. However, I wasn't too sure about the illustration on the right, it doesn't look that clear and also the lines coming off it don't really appeal in my opinion. c130 - An excellent entry, great colour used on this one. I like the two different fonts used here and the lines of text align with each other well too. The brain here is very cool too (at least thats what I think it is) fits with the colour scheme well. I think the illustation there might look best to left so the text can slide just under it. A close winner. And for this weeks winner: Uzukami I really like this one, a very clever idea with the postiioning of the text and the figure of 8 which has been kind of hidden in there. The colours used compliment each other nicely too. Not overpowering or anything either. Good work!

SOTW #60This week there was no set theme at all for SOTW being it the 60th edition, which is quite remarkable that we have kept this up for 60 weeks in a row! So participants could make a signature in any style which they wanted. Here are some of the entries this week that caught my eye. Again dont' feel bad if you aren't included or don't win, there are other chances. Try not to take losing too seriously.
Ryan - Interesting idea here, a little more texture would be good here though, obviously not too much as it would ruin the smog effect. Maybe some tall industrial looking buildings just showing through or something. The text would be better if it was much sharper looking. Artistical. - Nice colours used here and with some good little details in the background too, some areas could be a bit darker though. I would also remove the two little wires near the top, they don't look too effective in my opinion. .Uzukami - Interesting signature this one, different style but seemed to be lacking in interest. Maybe make it a little bit smaller? Or incluse some pins?. I like the placement of the text here though. Nick - The background effects here are fine and work well. Nice textures used in the backgroud and everything. I think that the main issue here is with the text, try reducing it a bit, perhaps just keep the "sixty" part. Your name could also just be kept simpler and not so big SSJ Sonic-X - Much more creative than some of your previous work I feel, I like the text in the middle here, not such a fan of how the text is split up to the right though. Might be nice if we could see more of the image to the left too. And for this weeks winner: JzEX once again! Quite different from the rest of the entries. The colours here fit together nicely. I also like the kind of vintage theme which you have gone for here, the notice about "chickens" is great. The small text here is my main flaw which I can point out here. Apart from that, very creative +Custom Title
