SOTW #187Theme: 15 Minute Challenge Thanks to everyone that entered, we had more entries then normal which is great. The below winners are chosen based on apparent planning and overall appeal of the signature, so now you know. Runner-up:NickAnd our winner this week...LPF (adam (with no capitals))Seemed to be the best planned out, which was the primary focus of this week's SOTW and it's freaking hockey, I've never seen you do a hockey signature LPF! ;D Well done, another star for adam. Thanks for entering and be sure to check back next week for more fun and games.

SOTW #188Theme: Crime and Punishment Winner:crazI love this signature for a few reasons. First, I love the interesting twist on the theme, I was not expecting any "good" entries for a crime and punishment theme. Second, it's nice and simple, but it is powerful at the same time. There could be a little more subject matter, but simplicity is great. Well done, craz. No honorable mentions this week, as there were only two entires, thanks to Air for entering as well. ;D Thanks for entering and viewing!

SOTW #189Theme: Love Honorable Mentions:Ellen: I like the idea behind this signature, but I think it could have been executed a little better. The pink is a little harsh in my opinion, but it could just be my monitor brightness and the overall image just looks like a typical Valentines E-card . thanks for entering! Air: I love Chewie too! I actually just watched Episode IV yesterday and it re-ignited my love for Star Wars. But, who cares about me. The text doesn't really fit and the heart behind "love" looks a little sketch, and kind of provides an unintentional focal point. Thanks for entering again Air! And the winner....crazI love this photograph (if you took it, it's excellent, and if you didn't, it's still awesome) and the text flows perfectly. The shadow effect is neat as well. My only real gripe is that the text looks a little pixely. It could be the image format, but you might want to try messing around with the text anti-aliasing in Photoshop (assuming you used photoshop). + [star] +Respect Thanks for the great entries, and I look forward to seeing next weeks entries too!

SOTW #190Theme: Personal Signature HONORABLE MENTIONS:craz - Great photograph again , but there could be a bit more to this signature to fit with the theme a little more. I love your photography . Nexxia - I like the overall design, but again, a bit simplistic. A great design and layout for a signature though . Great entry and thanks for entering! RUNNER-UP:nrich - Haha, this signature has a sort of Saturday Night Live feel to it, i must be the opening credits, but I like it! The colors are great, like an eighties feel to it. Near flawless and nearly the winner! THE WINNER THIS WEEK...‹Disнwasнer Safe› - I've loved this signature ever since it's been in your signature ( ), because of the sweet text style and the awesome color choice. I love the worn feel to it, and it's practically flawless. I just don't really know about the little planets in the background, in my opinion, it would look better without them, but that's just me. Well, congrats to DS for winning this week's SOTW! Thanks to everyone that entered, and see you next week!

SOTW #192Theme: School Haha, a couple of similar signatures this week. And naturally if I chose one of these similar signatures, I would never heard the end of it. So... This week's winner...ObsidianNot particularly the most stunning signature I've seen during my tenure as SOTW Mod, but it's the best this week (in my opinion)! I do like the colors! ;D Well done. Thanks for entering this week!

SOTW #193Theme: Text Focal The winner this week...Mondo66While not a perfect signature, the text design is definitely original (which was the point of this theme). I like the message, but the layout could be better. There's some weird white dots going on around the text as well that somewhat detracts from the whole image. But, anyway, well done Mondo66! You get a star to display and the honor of having the signature of the week!

SOTW #195Theme was independence. Wasn't very many entries, sadly. coldsteel captured that one. although advice... the buttonized border isn't a look that I'd go for. Next time, maybe something a like a 2px white border, or, none at all.

SOTW #196Theme was future aspects. A few entries, not many. adam, I seriously hate hockey because of how many signatures over the years of yours that I've seen focused around them, but this one finally isn't one about that, it's baseball. ohemgee. it has such simplicity, no text does wonders, and the position of his body gives a nice aspect to it. I've lost track of how many this is for you, but there ya go.

SOTW #198Theme: Movies With only two entries, it's shown me that even having two can leave it difficult to choose. I had a tough time with this, and I have a few pointers for the both of you. project; it's great to see you back, and I hope to see more entries from you in the future. with this signature, the feel of it just was, too sharp. the quality of the stock image left me wanting to look away. the font was kind of bland, but i do enjoy the placement of the text. The only other problem is putting her name by the 'wanted'. unless you've seen the movie, someone wouldn't know that it was her name. love the little gun though. amanda; great to have you back as well. same goes for you, i hope to see more. with yours, i adore the text and the font. placement is great. i think the stock image is a little blurry, and could have used some coloring adjustments. i do like the effects you used around it, and a piece of advice. if you use more of a 1px border on one side, don't use a border on the opposite sides. I think the 1px border on the left and right side could of gone without. the top and bottom was fine. WINNER

SOTW #199Theme: Video/PC Games Great improvement from the past weeks. I'm very excited to see the rise in entries and hope to see that continue. I will say, I had a very hard time deciding this week. I had to seek out the help of three others because it was just so difficult. So I'll provide a little insight to the three that I was considering. josh; for your first signature in quite some time, it's nice. it's sleek, it's clean, it's not too busy. i adore the border, it fits it perfectly, makes it look a bit like a clip straight from the/a game. however, i think that with that said, text could have been used. it wasn't necessary, but just this one would have been nice with some. knighty; i'll say it straight out, i hate the border. aha. with that said, i'm fond of the window effect you used to see the stock you used. the text is a little iffy, but placed decently, etc. the colors go perfect together. d.safe; the uniqueness of using an actual skateboard as part of the signature is absolutely amazing. the texture that is blended makes it look a tad messy, and i don't like the drip off from the 't' it looks like two straight lines. other than that, it's great. by majority rules, WINNER

SOTW # 200Theme: Television Shows I didn't see as many entries as I would have liked. Where did all my designers go? However, there were two that really stood out to me. adam; as usual your technique is good. i wasn't too fond of how bright it was. the picture of the janitor is just amusing, and the effect of the heartbeat line faded into the background is a nice effect. blanka; i love the use of colors, your render is blended nicely, this does well with no border. the font is nice, though it looks a tad squished and/or blurry. WINNER

SOTW #202Theme: Halloween/Horror I'll be brutally honest, I didn't really like any of the entries that were in this week. Though, there were only two that actually caught my eye in any sense at all. veaZna; i'm not sure if it's part of the actual picture of spiderman, but the light effects around him are good. they make the rain even look more real, as if it was lightening attack him or something of the sort. though, the animation of falling rain is overused. and well, i really didn't see the horror or halloween in it... but it's still good. virus; not the best thing i've seen from you, but it really the stock and the text is what makes me like it. the placement of both is just wonderful. especially the text. makes the sense of 'silence' seem more important and real than if you had put it off to the right side. though, the right side is, like... empty, and boring. i think you could have done a lot more of there. but you kept with the theme. border is unique, but not pulled off as well. sooo WINNER

SOTW #203Theme: Freestyle I was actually expecting a lot more entries then what I got... anyways. I wasn't overly thrilled with the ones I did get. There was only one that really stood out. And since it's so late for me, I'm just telling you the winner and not giving pointers. sooo WINNER: adam
