Introduction to the Board[/u]
Welcome to SSDs resources board, here you will be able to submit blank banners, buttons, templates and all those pretty things we like to use that make our boards that little bit more special. If you think you've made something that could be useful to people then feel free to post it below. The extra special ones will even be added to the SSD website. Of course don't get upset if your contributions don't get added to the site, we will give you tips and pointers on how to improve your work so that hopefully your future submissions will get uploaded.
Points to Note[/u]
1) This board is for submissions to our website, not an area for people to download resources -- you can do that from the website itself, not here.
2) Resources posted here are for submission to the website (http://solidsnakedesigns.com), so if you do not wish for your work to be uploaded there, do not post them here.
3) Only high quality work will be added to the website. While some people believe that quantity is better than quality, we at SSD firmly believe that in order to keep our reputation, we must only have high quality works associated with us.
Rules for Submission[/u]
To make things easier for the staff, please adhere to the following rules:
F.A.Q Frequently Asked Questions[/u]
What do [TBA], , [R] and [CNBA] in the title of a thread mean?
[TBA] means that the resource(s) has been selected to be added to the website but, as of yet, has not been uploaded.
means that the resource has been added to the website or will be added shortly. Such threads will be locked
[R] means that the resource has not been selected to be added to the website. Such threads will be locked.
[CNBA] means, for whatever reason, an approved item cannot be added to the database. This is usually due to a broken link.
Regarding Mega-Upload
Please can members refrain from uploading to megaupload. The pop-ups from this site are obscene and posting links to such content violates the Terms of Service. If you cannot upload a zip/psd via any other means, email me eternityonlineATgmailDOTcom the links instead. (make sure to label your email something like "resources for ssd" and be sure to include your name)
Advertising
I've had quite a few threads now where people contributing pre-mades think it is fine to advertise their forums here. Regardless of your intentions (I believe many of you are only mentioning where the pre-made "came from") advertising on SSD is strictly prohibited.
We always give credit to the creators of the pre-mades and you are quite welcome to add your forum's url to a copyright image on your template or a watermark on your pre-mades. But please do not include your forum's url when making a thread here.
The forum policy applies to all boards on SSD, including this one, please remember that.
Image Based Tutorials
I've just had to spend ages cutting some tutorials that are based as one long jpg image. Now normally these are fine, in fact they are often presented very well, however we have to spend quite a long time cutting some up because they are too wide for the website.
Please think when you submit a tutorial if it will be too wide to fit. Tutorials should only be 410px in width maximum.
Lastly...[/u]
We must emphasise that you do not get upset if your work is not chosen to be hosted on the SSD website. This is not because we do not like you, or have some sort of anger against you, it is merely because your work may not at the current time, be up to our high standards. We will always offer advice on how to improve your creations so that you may re-submit an improved resource or submit a new one altogether that is more of the standard we expect.

Rules for Submission[/u]
To make things easier for the staff, please adhere to the following rules:
- Please list in the subject title what the resource you are submitting is. ie. "Blank Banner Set" or "V4 Skin" No other description is required.
- In your thread list what the resource is, the name you would like to be referred to as (this is especially relevant to those who like to change their names alot) if the resource is added to the site, a preview image, and a link to the download (if applicable)
- DO NOT POST OTHER PEOPLES WORK Regardless of whether you have asked permission (or not) it is preferred that the creator of the resources posts. This is to prevent misunderstandings.
- Crediting. When you submit a tutorial or premade which has used other free-to-use material (stock images, brushes etc) Please make sure to credit these sources.
