Saw this over at DA...
I like the detail you put into this, i know how long these tutorials take, they are rather time consuming..
The images you have provided are of a high quality and the annotation is effective...the only thing that worries me here is that you have drifted off course a little. You stated you should use sub text etc, when really the main focus of thei mage is on the feathering aspect of it.
Suggestions: - Try to provide numerous images and variants of the feathered line technique, vertically etc...with different settings to see how effective they are...

when you made the selections did you remember to type in a pixel amount for the feathering ? (eg: a 8 pixel feather)

yeah. go select> feather> and use something like 14 and hit ok. then hit delete. that is what the tut says
