Sketchy Grunge Background
1. Open up a new document, 500x500.
2. Go to Filter>render>clouds.
3. Next, go up to Filter> render> difference clouds and do ctrl+f until you get what you want.
4. After that, go up to Image> Adjust> and click Invert.
5. Then, go up to Filter>render> lense flare and use these settings:
Brightness- 99
Lens Type-35mm Prime
Placement- upper left-hand corner
THEN PRESS OK
6. Now, repeat step 5 three more times, but place the lense flares in the other 3 corners of the image so that you have 4 lense flares, one in each corner (do not have the lense flares touching the outer border of the image)
7. Go to Filter> sketch> Chrome and use these settings:
Detail- 10
Smoothness- Zero (0)
Then click ok
By now you should have something like this...:

8. Go up to image> adjust> Invert.
9. Next, go to filter> sketch> charcoal and use these settings:
Charcoal Thickness- 7
Detail- 5
Light/black Balance- 0
Then click ok
10. After that, go up to filter> distort> Polar coordinates and check the box that says Polar to Rectangle, then click ok.
11. Next duplicate your current layer (Layer> duplicate layer)
12. Select your new, duplicated layer and go up to Edit> Transform> Flip Vertically
13. Next, go up to Layer> LayerStyle> Blending options and change the blending option from normal to multiply.
14. Merge your two layers into one (ctrl+e)
15. Now, duplicate your merged layer by going to Layer> duplicate layer.
16. Select your duplicated layer and go to Edit> transform> rotate 90º CW. Now, go to Layer> Layer Style> blending options and change the blending option to either Multiply or Screen. Here are the two Different results you get with those blending options:

And your done! From there you can crop it and use brushes to grunge it up even more.
