High-Tech Gradients1) Create a new image with a transparent background the width of your forum and approximately 30 pixels high. I made mine 400 by 30. Fill this with #776E3C. 2) Go to Layers>>Layer Style>>Inner Shadow and add the settings below: 3) Now, select Inner Glow and choose the settings shown below: 4) After that, select Bevel and Emboss and use the following settings: 5) Select the contour option and enter the following: 6) Now, choose Satin and then use the settings below: 7) Next, choose Gradient Overlay and use these settings: 8) Then, a stroke with the settings below: And there you have it, the perfect high-tech gradient. You can of course change the colours, but for this, I advise only changing the top colour marked out in the screen shot below, and use this same number for all the options above. This will keep the strength and darkness of the colours the same, but will change its hue. The finished gradient will look like the one below. This tutorial features on my website
