1. Set colors to default (Black and White). 2. Select Filter> Render> Clouds until you have something like this : 3. Select Filter> Brushstrokes> Crosshatch and apply these settings: 4. Select Layer> Duplicate Layer 5. Select Filter> Artistic> Poster Edges 6. Go to the Layer window and set both layers to Lighten. 7. Select Layer> Merge Visible 8. Select Filter> Texture> Texturizer and apply these settings: 9. Select Filter> Brush Strokes> Spatter and apply these settings: 10. Press ctrl+u and apply these settings: 11. Pretty nice tut but i think everyone should maybe choose a different colour , it seems a little un-realistic (im assuming your aim was to create realistic sand?) Any-hoo im getting the latest version of elements from PC World soon lol so at least i will be able to create some better graphics and tuts !
