Hello everyone. This is my first tutorial and also only my third day using PSP8. I hope you like it!
NOTIC: My transfer limit for my images for this tutorial is very high. The images may not be shown. Sorry for any problems this may cause.
First, start off with a new image. I suggest using 500x125 to start out with. If it's to big, we'll crop it later.
Next, find an image you can use, but make sure it has a white background. Once you have it, select the selection tool and select the part you wish to use in your sig pic and copy it (Ctrl+C).
Then paste it as a new selection (Ctrl+E) on your sig pic window. It should be looking like this:
Once you have your image placed, make sure that it still has the selection border around it. Then go to Adjust >> Hue and Saturation >> Colorize... and select a color that you want the sig image to be. Notice: Your sig is pretty much going to be the same color so choose one that you like.
Your sig should be looking somewhat like this:
Next, go and create a new raster layer.
Now you should go up to the forgroung color selector and click the button in the middle. This will allow you to add textures.
Double click on the forground color to bring the material window up. Go over to the top right and click on the texture drop-down box. Click on the construction paper texture and select the color that is the same or very simular to the first color you chose.
Click ok and go to the flood fill tool and click anywhere. Your sig should look somewhat like this:
Next is one of the hardest parts. You have to get the forground and background images to look good for the text you want to add. In the picture below is what I had at first, but it was backwards so I just clicked the reverse button and it flipped the colors. You may also want to add textures to your font. Do this the same way as you did before.
Now you have to select the font and size. I sugggest using what I have in the picture below unless you have a long username.
All you have to do now is place the text. You might want to leave some room incase you want to add a subtitle thing like I did.
Well, thats it! Just crop off any left over room and you should be done!
Heres my final version:
I hope you liked my first tutorial!
Please do not copy this or post it any where else without first consulting me first.
