Okay, 4 people i've had through MSN asking for help on HyperNurbs, i was stuck at first, but after playing around, i've finally got round to it. As you know, many tutorials, or effects of your own need smoothing off, don't know how ? try this tutorial. (if that's what you want to call it) Okay, start a new file. go to Object > Primitive > Sphere. You'll need to make it editable, so press c while you have the sphere selected. Now you've got yourself a nice pyramid in the middle of the screen, plain looking, isn't it ? go to Structure > Edit Surface > Matrix Extrude > type these settings in : should have something like this, correct ? (Note : Thats on a small preview, saves me space, and saves loading time, yours should look different, but the same shape, correct ?) now go to Structure > Edit Surface > Crumble Use these settings : Now, do this twice. so you should have something like this okay, looks like Beyonces hair from Austin Powers, Golden Member, doesn't it ? you want it to look smooth now, this is where the HYPERNURBS come in. go to Object > NURBS > HyperNurbs. once done, look on your right pannel, it should look like this. Now, you need to drag the Sphere into the Hypernurbs, so do this. and whola, you've got yourself, a lovely, smooth, ball....of.....sparkles??? I got this, and this was without playing with it in PS. www.solidsnakedesigns.com/images/hypernurbs/final.jpg
