1) make a new photoshop worksheet, any size will do (I used 250x250) and make a horizontal gradient across the whole page: 2) Go to Filter > Distort > ZigZag, and have the settings: amout - 100% and ridges - 10 (Play around with these settings to get a different effect) You should get something like this: 3) Go to Filter > Distort > Wave, select square, and repeat edge pixels, then click randomise until you get something you like: 4) Go to Filter > Blur > Radial blur, and select zoom (you can choose the quality you want from here too, I used best), make amount 100, and click ok. You should get something similar to: 5) Select filter > render > difference clouds (apply this as many times as you want until you get it how you like it): 6) Go to Filter > Sketch > Charcoal, and use the settings; Charcoal thickness - 1, Detail - 3, Light/Dark balance - 72. You should finaly end up with something like: Try experimenting to see what you can come up with

cool its funny there so many ways to get the grunge i have seen alot of tuts on the simple grunge and there all different.
