This is a good leason of learning how to become a Javascript & HTML Coder the hard way. I have worked my butt off learning this, and I've mastered everything about it. If you do know how to make of my skills, than I would love to see what you have done. Heres a few things I've worked on (bugs are all fixed, by the way)... - Habbo V9 & V13
- Runescape V1 & V2
- Ward of Warcraft V2 & V5
To make shure you understand what I'm talking about... I got the promission from the Companies that run these MMORPGS, and I used thier "Source" to make a Retro Server of the same thing. The reason why I did this... - To help them make new stuff for the peopel to use.
- Think of new ideas help help them.
- Come up with something for my boredom (Population of my Town: 400).
Thanks for reading!

This belongs to the Coders' Galore.
First of all, this is called emulating of MMORPG's server. While yes, it's a great way to learn about packets, encryptions, reverse-engineering, and the language itself, it is mostly a grey area, because the rules regarding this emulation server are complex.
It's a safe rule of thumb, though, to classify all of them under "Illegal". As such, I don't think you'll get much response here.

For WoW, Blizzard is harsh on the development of emulation servers. HabboHotel doesn't seem to care.
As for Runescape, there's an actual employee of Jagex, the company behind Runescape, here.
