This is your chance to practice, learn, and design using CSS. Even if you have never touched CSS before, you can have a go.
Tutorial
If you're looking for somewhere to start:
www.htmldog.com/guides/cssbeginner/
I find this a nice clean looking site to get to grips with it all
What do you need to do?
Create a layout for a blog using CSS - you do not need to actually put any PHP or serverside languages before it. Just create a layout.
This involves a lot of useful skills such as choosing suitable colours, text sizes and fonts, whilst at the same time creating something appealing.
Who can enter?
Absolutely anyone, new or old.
Anything specific I need to include?
- A content area where the person would have their blog entry.
- A header area, with the title of the blog.
- A navigation area
Apart from that, you can do anything else you feel you'd like to have. The choice of theme and colours is completely up to you, be as strange or professional looking as you like.
If you're wondering what a blog looks like, take a look at my outdated one
olivermat.blogspot.com/index.html
Prizes, Prizes, Prizes
I will give a custom title to the winner of this.
Feedback
You shall get a little feedback from our judges Chantry and Scorpion who have kindly volunteered some of their time to help out here
Hosting
If you cannot host your file, you can email it to me at support@solidsnakedesigns.com and I shall upload it for you
Questions? Ask here. Entries? Post here!
Closing date will be 30th April
