Has anyone got an idea on why I can't make things transparent on PSP XI? I mean, even when I create a new piece, thats totally transparent, and save it. The BG automatically turns to white. I know it must be a setting I messed with because when I first got it, that wasn't the case. Anyone who tells me "Google is my friend" will get kicked in the face because I tried it. Thanks for any help. Will make things a lot easier.

Welcome to paint shop pro Gray but let me scratch my head because I forget why it exactly does that but I will get back to you if you don't have it fixed by then.
What format are you saving the file in btw

What format are you saving the file in btw Nevermind. Thanks for the help. I found the issue. Every time I save a graphic, there is a tab somewhere where I have to say whether I want the image transparent or not, and what type of transparency. Fricken PSP

Oh, sometimes as well the use to make you define what colors would be transparent on an image. People hated that so I don't know if they still have that but yeah ... they did
but ok good job for figuring it out

Does anyone know what to do if when I paste a transparent image, the background automatically fills to black? I can't find a setting that would alter this.

Since it won't paste transparent.

Since it won't paste transparent. I've tried that but whenever I do it, it never gets the pixels on the edge of the image. So, I have to go and manually select each pixel thats part of the background, and whenever I do that, it messes up the shape of the image, makes it pixelated. It wasn't like this when I first got it, so I must've changed some setting, just don't know what. Thanks for the help though.

gray you're such a psp failure - there is a find edge thing on there i forget where but I'll get back to you on that. But you have numerous options to erase unwanted things, I love the background erase feature - that has some neat tweaks to help your erasing along.
I love me some pixel by pixel work

The erasing techniques. Good, great. ;D I will start forwarding all my unfinished projects that need pixel by pixel work to your inbox!
