I dont understand why it is called PSPPX2, why the X2? Why not XII ? I thought it was X and XI cos they were PSP 10 and PSP 11, guess I was wrong xD
Looks good though, especially the colors and the images/design.

Ok, Ive downloaded and installed the trial from Corel, for PSPX2, and the layer styles aren't too great, it gives you more options for stuff though, but not too much. I guess, if you worked with it, you could do some good with it. One thing that is REALLY annoying though, is you know how in all other PSP's you press ctrl+c to copy and image, then ctrl+v to paste as a new image, or ctrl+L to paste as a new layer? Well, ctrl+v also pastes as a new layer, and not as a new image, that is very annoying. The stroke for text is much better, that has been improved a fair bit, so now text doesnt look rubbish when you stroke it, which is a great thing. I've also tested the HDRI merge thing, and its ok, I practiced with two crappy images, so I cant really give it a fair comment. There appears to only be a couple of new preset shapes, which I personally aint too bothered about, since I never use them. There are some nice and new patterns & gradients, which is nice. I was really hoping for some new line styles, to use with the pen tool, but unfortunately, there isn't any new ones, which is a big bummer. There are quite alot of new and different picture tubes.. I never use 'em anyway though lol.. Wow, and excellent, I just discovered that if you have some images saved in .pspimage format from PSP 8, then you can open them in this version, unlike with PSP X and XI, you couldn't open PSP 8 images in them That is excellent news <3 The Express Lab is pretty decent... Not much I can say about that to be totally honest Ummm not sure what else to look at, at the moment, but any suggestions, anything you want me to find out for you, let me know and I will have a look. Woah! Also, brushes from my other version, have automatically been installed into this one, now thats the sex <3 Doesn't appear to be any new default brushes, which, is a big shame, but oh well, you can always download brushes, free.. so thats not too big of a deal.

Yeah I just snagged the trial version of this today. I actually had no idea about the new version because I was content with XI. But so far I'm loving this new version.

I use XI too. There's nothing too convincing about this one that would make me upgrade. I hate how ctrl + v ect. doesn't work.

Wow, I'm a n00b. Don't know why they can't keep it the same as XI though.

I'm still using PSP X, the newer versions aren't as easy to... acquire.

I knew that it equaled 12, I just felt it odd that they would use a roman numeral AND then a normal number lol..
I know, 'cos ctrl+v just pastes as a new layer just like ctrl+L, which is stupid. I am used to ctrl+shift+v though, now.

Newer versions are easy to acquire. At least for me. I started off years ago with PSP7, and I've tried every version they have. It seems to get better and better with each new version.
As far as the name, I'm sure they switched to a number to keep the name from getting too long when trying to abbreviate it.

PSP XI seemed to "realise" it had been acquired after a few weeks, and stop working. So I'd have to do a clean install of Windows to get it to install again ... rinse, and repeat if desired. PSP X is stupid enough to just carry on working.

Um better late the never, I finally updated to x2 ... I suppose nothing is noticeably better but I do like the new color, for some reason x2 is clean where x1 didn't feel clean it felt jam packed with stuff.
As expected, very easy to catch on to all the "new" stuff ... nothing to strange ... guess we will wait for x3 - XIII sometime in the future, hopefully they do a lot with that version.

I've bought it some time ago... well.. "I arrived from" GIMP and I find it hard to "convert" to PSPX2
But the tools works fine, even tho I must admit, that I still am best with GIMP xD

It's why I won't 'convert' to Photoshop. I hate it, and have a hard time trying to do what I want, whereas with PSP, I know exactly what to do.

PSP is laid out easier than photoshop, it's easier to pick up and go.
