Hi, I am new to this so I have read and read tut's. I have PSP7, PSP8, Adobe Photoshop 6, Photoshop elements 2, well, the entire Adobe product.
I am trying to get the plugins for Adobe to be available to PSP8. I have gone to :file, preferences, folder, plugins, then adobe plugins. I am stating this from memory, so, I may be off, but at any rate, I did follow the instructions exactly, and it won't work.. Any ideas out there?
I think I may have read that they won't work since the Adobe is ver. 6. Now had it been an older version, it would have.
Thanks for any help or insight you may have.

I don't think PS plugins work with PSP... you mentioned you were following instructions, where did you get them from?

Some plug-ins will work with PSP8 and others don't.. I have some that work with the software, for modifying images. It all depends on how you have your preferences set up...

I have a plugin question too. I have PSP 8, and when I go to Effects>>Plugins - I only have Visual Painter>>Collage, Pastel.
Why don't I have any other plugins there? I'm looking for Almathera>>Puddle
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm looking for Almathera>>Puddle Any help would be appreciated. It's a possibility that the version doesn't offer that plugin. I'm not sure which version starts it, however. I've worked with PSP5 and up, but currently I'm accustomed to XI that I'm unaware of the plugins for v8. Try this link to download that filter and install it. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what else will. I'll have to do some digging.

Thank you - that was it! I guess I just assumed the plugins would come with PSP, and didn't realize I had to go looking for them to DL. Anyhoo, thanks much - its in here now! I'm going to need a LOT of help when I get my Photoshop up & running
