Im doing this tutorial: www.pinoy7.com/psptutorials/7/raisedtext/p1.shtmlBut on the end of the first page, it tells me to do this: "Save current text selection to Alpha Channel (Selections>Save to Alpha Channel>Ok)." But when i try to save, it doesnt let me because i cant select the save option.. Any help? Ive tried saving whilst the text is still selected, doesnt work. Ive also tried saving to alpha channel whilst the text is deselected What am i doing incorrect? Thanks

I tried it (V8), and am able to save to alpha channel both as text floating and selection. Even if it is on a different layer. One thing is for sure, you need it selected to save to A. Channel Maybe it's just a memory issue with PSP and other programs running and OS. Does a restarting computer make any difference?

No it didnt.. But i figured out how to do it, and it wasnt how it said to do it.. I had to make the vector layer into a ratser layer, then i needed to select the magic wand tool, and then select each letter in the text and then save to alpha channel.. And then it was fine from there on..
Weird dont ya think? Oh and i use PSP 8..

Weird? No, you actually have to convert layers over to raster when you apply any type of effect. That includes a selection. I just assumed you had done that, sorry.
If you choose the layer you are going to switch to raster, make a duplicate of that layer first. Disable the original vector layer, and then convert the 2nd vector layer to raster. If you go to far and realize somethings wrong, or change your mind, you just delete the rasterized layer. And you don't have to revert through history to undo the changes. A lot easier!
