I have been reading about making banners, and it is so confusing. I have psp and I am trying so hard to figure it out, but when I read the steps, they dont seem clear enough to me. I am pretty good with the animation shop, and I love doing avatars, but banners...I want to take a few different photos of ppl and put them into one, and put text on it...I just must be losing it.

First off make a new image (around 700 - 100) Copy one of your pictures. Then go to edit - paste - as a new layar. Then get your move tool and move it to were you want it. Then do the same for the rest of the images. Do you want to learn how to blend the pictures so it is nice and smoth?

First, go create a new image, 500 x 100 is good. Then, apply a background color and mess around with your brushes to your liking. When ready for your images, copy them, then go to Edit > Paste > Paste as a New Layer. Be sure to have the window open for the image you want to paste it on. Then mess with the opacity, which will blend the images together nicely and move around what you pasted. If there is stuff you want to remove (i.e. excess black around the image) click the arrow next to the eraser button, choose background eraser and erase away what you dont want. Just make sure you're on the layer where you want to remove the background.

My tip is to create a 540x149 image and select a texture or gradient for the background. Create a new raster layer, that is for text. Add external text, or text from PSP!

Thank you so much. I would love to learn how to blend. The steps they tell you are not so great.

Yeah, PSP tells you to use masks, that's pretty usefull if you don't want to chop and cut. But, adding to Psionic, you can also use the magic wand at times if you want remove the background of images on your banners.
