i've created a basic 2D graphic to sit above the title bar on my forum...just a bit of fancy frippery really...but having made the background to the graphic transparent, i'm now left with slightly jagged edges that i can't get rid of...in an ideal world i would like my graphic to have a slightly rounded edge look as opposed to the "i've just cut this roughly out of paper and stuck it on my forum" look... i'm a bit of a novice when it comes to PSP and was wondering if there was a way of producing the rounded edge effect on the non-transparent parts of my graphic...? there probably isn't, but i've nothing to lose by asking... many thanks...

Well, there it a handy little tool that you can use to soften edges in PSP.
Right underneath the clone brush in the tool bar, there is a tool that you can switch to dodge/burn/smudge, etc. Select the soften brush and manually go over the edge of your graphic with it. You can change the tip like any normal brush.
Hope that helps.

Actually you could get that done by fiddling around with the buttonise effect. Since I don't know what the image looks like, I would advise raising or lowering the width according the amount of smoothing you want. Hope I helped.

Actualy what I think he might be talking about is having smooth edges in a Transparent gif. Unfortunatly having Semi-Transparent Pixils (at least in a browser) Is not yet possible. You, you can either try to get the image rond or square as possible to reduce the jagged effect, or try and make the BG of the PIC the same as the BG for the forum. Also you MAYBE could try using some CSS to blend out the edges, however I've only seen it work in IE I don't know if Netscape Supports it and I know Firefox Doesn't. Sidenote: Don't be confused, with JS and/or CSS you can have semi-transparent pixils in a browser but thats code. You can't make a gif that has semi-transparent pixils,

Well, you can use the pen tool set to anti-aliased to do that in the future so the edges dont become jagged.
